Not when you consider he hardly started a game for us last season, didn't manage double figures in terms of starts. And how many games when he came on did he make a notable impact?

I'm quite sure there is a decent possibility that we won't have a major sponsor next season given the new strips are unveiled and season tickets are due out etc. One being a big opportunity to get news coverage and the other another place to have the logos splashed both missed. Not to say something won't be sorted out but I'd be ready to make do without the 6 figure sum we'd normally expect from this kind of deal either having nothing at all or a much reduced cost late addition. Still that's life and don't always get to choose what you want!

Nah I'd take Forbes if we were up against some Euro pub team again!
-
I'd also bet your house on it and it no slight on the young lad as as already pointed out not to many players even really good ones manage that with us. Delighted if he does though, we'll make a fortune from him for one. And if it does happen I'll lend you a couch to sleep on.

Remember this well, always wondered if we dodged a bullet or missed out on a gem. A quick look on wikipaedia seems inconclusive, 46 caps for Finald suggest he can't have been to bad but spent most of his career in the Finnish league bar a couple of seasons in Norway and a brief spell in a regional league team in germany late in his career.

I think at the crucial age where young Hibs players are becoming established and beginning to stand out Hibs have that bit more clout to pay them a bit more than perhaps makes it easier to tie them into a longer deal so that if and when they do really kick on they are already tied into fairly long contracts that puts them in a good position. Mind you if Reynolds hadn't been fairly gash in the season after we turned down Rangers bid we might have been looking at bigger offers also, where as now everyone knows he isn't likely to sign a new deal and having refound at least some of that early form he might be interesting bigger clubs but with only 12 months of his contract left they can afford to be patient.

It's been an interesting season for sure and pretty succesful one also. If we get into europe you can remove the qualification and we'll say it been bloody superb. Hopefully Brown can build on it though, always a mega difficult task for a club at out level. But keep the core of the team, a few canny acquisitions and a bit more of the same next season without the horrendous patch in the middle.

I don't get the strength of feeling against McGlinchey. Firstly he barely featured, largely as the guys already here were doing a decent job and I saw the first half yesterday before leaving for work and thought he did ok. A few first time passes went astray but he looked like he knew what he was doing and linked up the play decently a few times. Seemed to do ok when he came on during the week also. As it was good call by the manager to hook him for Murphy as Murphy came on and made a more tangible impact but he'll go back to his club in australia and that'll be that. As for what I think we need, a decent left sided midfield player is a definate, Sutton did ok yesterday and that's great if he can fill in when required but he is a striker, a half decent one and should be played as such. Would love to get Jutkiewicz back on loan or a permament deal but it is incredibly unlikely, same with Ruddy who despite being a bit error prone at times was also pretty sensational a large part of the time. So a left mid, a keeper, centre forward seem pretty much bare minimum. Hard to say which of the younger players can cement a place, certainly if fit think Hutchison can come in and be a quality big centre half. Saunders and Murhpy can certainly compete for a place in their positions. Think Humphrey needs to be given a run at right mid but no doubt ideally another option there would be good. If we can keep Coke and Jennings then with Lasley hopefully around we should be ok in the middle of the park.

Would take Teale in a second but imagine he'd just be to pricey wages wise.

Left at 4-1 and not even remotely gutted so sorry to disappoint.

5 year ago maybe, now just no!

There is next to fuck all lifeblood in the town anyway. Walking through the town centre of an afternoon makes you wish for the place to be nuked. Ravenscraig as a new town or extension of the current one really doesn't bother me one bit, if it adds some new life to the general Wishaw/Motherwell area it can only be good as there is really nothing left to take from Wishaw/Motherwell town centres other than the plebs. Sad how badly the places have declined but it seems pretty terminal!
-
My only concern about a new stadium is accesability. Ravenscraig might not technically be in the town but to my mind it is in the heart of the Motherwell area and in theory shoul be fine presuming we get the facilities we need and not completely done on the cheap so that in 15 year time it costing us a fortune to maintain. That said if some form of redevelopment of FP was viable then great but hard to see it.

New deals for Jennings and Hately would do for me. I'd take Coke but he's blown hot and cold over the season, Jennings provides that bit of dig and Hately is versatile so in player resigning terms that'd keep me happiest barring the seemingly impossible return of Ruddy.
-
Retort of an idiot to mock a typo, but nice pic none the less.
-
Superb result, won't be thinking about the passport yet though, long way to go before that is secure!
-
Aye we're struglging to hold onto him because he's pure mince so we are!
-
Huge ifs and buts.... GK. New Signing RB. Hately (assuming pitch meets his satisfaction) CB. Craigan CB. Hutchison LB. Hammell RM. Humphrey (Well preseason anyway to stake a claim) CM. Lasley CM. New Signing LM. New Signing CF. Sutton CF. Murphy Subs. Fraser, Saunders, host of youngsters. Hope to see Jennings sign on again but half expecting to see him and Coke go back south with Ruddy and Jukiewicz. Reynolds likely to be also, hope so anyway if we're gonna get any sort of decent fee!
-
Well if he hated it that much fair enough, but I'd play in goals if it meant playing football for a living. Everyone has positions they prefer but would you chuck a potential career in the game away because you were precious about where you played? End of the day if you get a regular game at right back and would rather be in midfield you bust a gut you improve your game and give your manager some indication that you can do that job. Hately is crazy if that is his reason for not signing on, he being doing a better job at right back for us than he did in midfield if you ask me. If he got better offers then fair dos but I wouldn't have thought there would be that many clubs desperate to get him.

LMAO, that said worryingly mental is that guy who has seemingly built that one in holland, unless it some april fools or something.
-
2-1 Well, 3-0 flattered them. We played a bit better in the week and reckon our bad run coming to an end and we'll get a result!
-
What chance we got winning even the SPL nevermind the champions league with these jokers. Not good enough, get rid of them!
-
Aye well sadly decent as Forbes is he no Jim Baxter. If he could find an extra half yard of pace it would do him no harm in the hurly burly of the SPL. Wouldn't want to see him blunt his creative edge but on days when you aren't on top of your game you still have to be able to be able to put a shift in and not accusing the lad of not trying but he looks well off the pace.
-
i'd disagree with that, not to say you can turn Forbes in Usain Bolt but between looking at and improving his running/sprint technique and tailoring training to suit short explosive bursts no reason why you can't improve any players pace.
-
I suspect you'd be wrong.
