I am seriously concerned about loss of ruddy and juskiewicz in january. The honeymoon is over I thought we were basically terrible yesterday and have doubts over Gannon's temprement and ability to manage professional footballers. Hoping this sticky patch is just that and things will pick up again soon. there were some positives yesterday but greatly outnumbered by factors concerning me.

That is how good you have to be to get away with lacking in pace or strength, with best will in world Forbes for all he does have a good left peg on him is no Davie Cooper. He needs to sort out whatever is holding him back with his fitness to make it.

Yeah that is true, but Moutouatkil could have given him a shout when he chose to charge forward to the guy on the ball. Thought both were culpable in that instance but Jennings and others covered for him all day and he is worse than a man down.
-
I'm off the fence on this one, the guys murder and won't do. Rather see Hately shifted to right back until January and let Jennings or Lasley take his role in the midfield. As an aside thought Jennings showed up quite well yesterday.

Trafficlight always strikes me as quite inoffensive. Was quite funny how worked up he got on that earlier thread you could just picture the veins throbbing in his forehead, so he maybe remembers a few details wrong who the hell doesn't but gist of it all seems largely to be the usual bangers on here revelling in petty wind up antics. If you don't like someone they are generally easy enough to avoid unless they constantly posting utter bilge which I don't think he does so why not leave the guy be and play in a different part of the playground with yer own pals?

Clarkson went on the cheap, we got supposedly nearly million for him. Much as I rate him that more than a fair price.

Already pointed out at non league level he has been prolific and it soesn't often translate. Could as easy be the next Grehan rather than next Arnott! Hopefully Gannon proves again he has an eye for a player and you're right but seems a bit optimistic to expect the lad to bang in 10 goals for us, talk about setting someone up to fail.

I'd take any number of good players but how often do we sign players under contract to other SPL clubs who are doing a decent job for them? If there contracts are up in the summer then by all means we could do worse but we certainly in no position to take anyone. I'd be happy to see Ruddy and Juskiwicz extend loan deals. After that a lot might depend on fitness and readiness of Slane assuming he hasn't signed his own pre contract elsewhere and like to see another striker brought in as Sutton for all he is good for a goal I don't think is good enough for team aiming at top half of the SPL. Not to mention a right back though undecided on Moutoakil. Suspect a few more loan deals is all we'll see. Outside of that young striker we maybe signing from england.

All will be forgotten when we cuff Celtic next week.

Glad I wasn't there, still come the end of the season if only team to beat us in league is Hibs we'll be ok. :-) Hoping for a cup run now as league looks like mid table mediocrity barring a Malpasesque collapse!

Would have been if it had went in.

I agree about Swansons tackle. I can't believe how people think it was such an injustice. I have seen more malicious and nasty looking challenges but he basically careers in very late and takes Lasley right out. He isn't long on the park and maybe it just error of judgement but I don't think he has much cause for complaint. Although if he'd only been booked I wouldn't have been screaming for a red I don't think, might have done not always so impartial at the time. Buaben I think was a bit hard done by, both his fouls were arguably bookings but put together made for a pretty soft red card. Williams could have went a few times over. The offside was utterly horrendous, reflex action from the linesman I reckon at seeing Jutkiewicz loitering in an offside position and to frightened to put his flag right back down when it should have been immediately obvious the pass was to Lasley who was about 5 yards onside. It a stupid rule this phases of player shite but it not that new anymore no excuse for that level of piss poor judgement. Getting offsides consistently right I do not envy them but sometimes like that one it just a comlete no brainer. I don't think it was a pen, Sutton seemed to be awfully slow getting his shot off, dunno if he thought he could entice a hasty challenge for a pen but boy seemed to hook foot round to get the ball. We scored right after anyway so hardly matters.

Well it was a crucial match I suspect it was fuller than average, our core support stays pretty much the same most of the time.

Ok so Iraq should be past tense but it and Afghanistan have been disastrious but of the rest of the places you are referring to there is a difference being based somewhere and occupying it in the manner of those two high profile cases. Although Diego Garica is an interesting one, given we forcibly removed the population to allow the US to use the Islands as a jointly run military base. We'd have to ask the populations of the rest of these places if they are pleased or concerned by the presence of our troops I daresay different places would give different responses.

I'm thinking of declaring a war on obtuseness and occupying your house, I suspect I have as much chance of finding WMD in there as were found in Iraq when no one went to war there! * *Just to add that like earlier on any attempts at humour were made at the expense of the poster and not any war dead as I'd hope was patently obvious.** **A different poster refering to in that wee postscript DDman I don't want you to think that was part was a dig at yourself. Good night all!

Today's headlines, hmmm.

Far and away most elequent post on this thread and whilst I didn't applaud yesterday still agree with 100%. For all I've said against them I still have some sympathy for anyone in a position where they could get maimed or killed regardless of how they ended up there.
-
Deaddogmans last post and some of somebody elses posts are pure mental well beyond realms of sane discussion. Iraqui's invited UK/US troops over and all of us arguing otherwise informed our opinions by listening to comedians? Or having an opinion contrary to supporting this season ticket initiative equals wanting to give them to muslim extremists and not applauding the troops yesterday was compared to wanting them dead. So no the delusion is very much weighted in certain specific quarters.

Moutouakil isn't the worst full back I've seen at Motherwell but he isn't very good. He gets completely lost and out of position and can barely hit a cross to save himself. I could count the number of decent crosses he has made this season on the fingers of one hand, and I could afford to be a bit careless around industrial machinery and not worry about running out of fingers. However on the ball he is ok and can generally find team mates with passes, he defends not to bad when he happens to be in the right area or is only so muc out of position that his pace gets him back. So I would take Quinn back as he a better all round full back but there is a player in there wanting to get out. Both camps in this thread seem a bit entrenched in their views from what I can see but he certainly at the moment a bit of a liability for all his better points.

And downright deluded!

No I was running up and down the east stand in full morris dancing costume clacking wood in protest!

Presumably to defend their country from real threats and that kind of thing? Like someone invading as unlikely as that does sound in this era. I do understand it would be a bit tough to run the thing if it was a 50/50 split on an issue or what not and to a certain extent they have to rely on other peoples word on what a situation is. But definately more defensive than offensive would be a start.
-
Lol I obviosuly can't and I quite aware of that yes. I not been calling them bridge building wankers or anything and if we must have a military that is far a better use of their time and more power to them when they doing something positive.
-
Hurrah! Prefer to think of it as an enlightened view, think of how much better off so many of the killed and wounded military members might be just now if they had as one just said to Blair, fuck off we're not invading Iraq you are clearly making this shit up about WMD! Would have been brilliant. :-)

I do know that and find it quite worrying. Why would you voluntarily put yourself in such a position. Risking own life and possibly be asked to take someone elses for spurious reasons? That is the crux of it for me. I definately don't understand it and not sure I want to.
