Forbes finished strongly after what had been a subdued game I thought, but does this put aside question marks on his fitness? Has seem to be tired after an hour most weeks, maybe the slower pace last night helped him. Also thought Murphy looked lively last night, as he should up against tiring defenders. But agree with the comment about how ridiculous it is to write him off. Ok maybe the lad McHugh is putting himself a bit ahead in the pecking order after a good goal last night and a few less than great performances from Murphy but he for the forseeable future is worth persevering with as he clearly shown he has talent. Whether he can do it week in week out is another matter but I'd certainly at least want him on the bench as an option.

Put in quite a few decent crosses I thought but either way him and big Ruddy if they keep up recent form will not be here past January I shouldn't think. Fingers crossed they do and we some how tie them down for a bit longer.

Might be Roy Essandoh?

No wins are more satisfying than the ones against the weegies bigots but any game against Airdrie or Accies is good to remind them who the good team in the shire is. Not really rivals though, I think in my time going to Well games lucky if we shared a division even 5 seasons between them. Wouldn't mind Accies staying up a while to allow it to develop but hard to maintain hostilities whilst they been lurching around the lower leagues.

I didn't sit through that but I suspect it was a bit like getting all the ingrediants right in your recipe but making a dogs dinner of the end result. Even say 10/11 were technically correct or at least arguably so, but when 4 softish tackles that are still fouls between two players adds up to two red cards then you've lost it. I don't like jersey tugging either and I recall seeing that one, he had a tug that barely hindered the player before letting go in an unthreatening position that if it did indeed impede the opposition player but was worth no more than a final warning.

Who the fuck asked you that? Can't say it ever crossed my mind. That the reason though?

Would live with 5 to keep the unbeaten run going but ideally looking for 6 or better. Couple of winnable home games and whilst away to Utd by no means straightforward I never that impressed with them lately and think we should be going out for the win and at least looking to get a point.

Sure similar stuff was said about Slane prior to opening day at Perth, few weeks later he in for an op. Can never be sure but certainly hope it something he shakes off quickly.

Not an unreasonable point but see the threads with McGhees name in the title, what were you expecting to find when you opened them.?You can ignore them! At time of writing the front page of club chat has two threads about McGhee out of about twenty eight ordinary threads.

I agree though likewise I understand they want to make an otherwise unattractive cup tie more appealing. What would make me happier is if that the one cup tie on our season ticket was transferable and not restricted to the first home cup tie that comes along. You weigh up the risk of not using in early round league cup tie that is potentialy the only tie you get to use it at all season against the option of using it in the scottish cup later in the year when chances are prices aren't going to be so reduced. It a minor disgruntlement but so easy fixed.

Choose Life thing is incorporating a mark of respect to Paul McGrillen albeit a bit late in the day. Someone did post it was going to be thus way back in the thread. Not entirely inappropriate idea but could maybe have been done separately just to make the McGrillen mark of respect a bit more timely?

From hazy memory we've been largely pish against them this side of the millenium. Picked up a few decent results here and there but oh for the rose tinted possibly days of late 80's to mid 90's where wins cropped up quite a bit.

This much linked to historical kits site shows a mock up of all our home kits, dunno how accurate they got their shades of blue right mind you.

What has a department of the First French Empire got to do with it? and you missed the wee squiggle over the e if that is what you were meaning?

Indeed did the police conveniently change their mind on this issue?

Yeah via Camby primary.

Hope you were a teacher weeyin as Jim Bett was about 11 year older than Stephen Wright, not hanging about the schools in an inappropriate fashion were you? Oh yeah and on this subject journeyman QOTS striker Derek Holmes was in my year at school. Stood out a mile, but was also a big lad for his age. Kinda depressing how someone that looked so good in actual fact at professional level just looks so lumbering and ordinary.

I don't expect the poster to follow everyones posting history but if they were to trawl through mine they'd see I stuck up for pretty much every scapegoat that some Motherwell fans get on the back of. I'm not ladeling into Reynolds and fair play to him for being ambitious and not being a total tit about it but at this point in time like MB suggested I'm not seeing the level of performance that is going to make big clubs seriously interested. Now at one point Rangers(poor excuse of a big club I know)were in for him so it could happen again but I'm mainly saying how if he is planning to move on I hope he finds his best form soon so we get the benefit of it. I love to see young players come through at Motherwell and go on to bigger things but first and foremost I more concerned how they do for us and the potential for us to rake in a good fee and keep the production line going.

I think you'll find it self combusted when writing out the cheque for mutley and his sidekicks wages!
-
that is the clawing fear that has nagged away ever since we knocked back the h**s offer!
-
Is it true you burnt an effigy of him in celebration of the day he left?
-
Spot on. Looked a real find in the Malpas season, since then looked nothing special. Could go either way with his career to be honest as think potential is there if he could learn from some of the mistakes he makes.

this is the kind of stuff that melvinbragg was posting and was getting slated for about a year to eighteen months ago about McGhee. I think some of the stick you taken from this is a bit harsh but I think the comments about watching stockport explain that well enough. On the whole I hope your tin hat has stood up well!
-
Some truth in that indeed, but if he had built on his early promise then he'd have been gone by now. I hope he has a storming season so that interest again peaks whilst we can still get the double benefit of a decent fee.

If I were him I'd be more concerned about establishing himself as a fixture in my current team, bumped about to and fro and far from a stand out lately, whilst I'm sure he might get a Graeme Smith type move on back of his potential I don't reckon big clubs are battering his door down.
