  1. Indeed, whatever you think of the paedo chants no one is trying to pretend they didn't happen. Personally I think it about time this thread was closed as some of the later posts seem to be just trolling in an effort to kick it all off again.
  2. I don't even want to imagine what sort of atrocity that picture would attract!
  3. I managed to miss that in my post but well spotted!
  4. Not so sure on that last point, as come next transfer window if the current loan guys have done well we a very decent chance of having to replace them. Not to mention if any of our one season contract guys have made a splash then the temptation of potential offers?
  5. Do we seriously have to go through this again? He made a rip roaring c**t of it. The vast majority of the debt that took us into administration was owed to him, he put us through that for what exactly? He never wrote it all off and last few sets of accounts showed we were still paying him off for a loan of about a million quid he didn't write off. If I'm off on the amounts I don't have the figures to hand anymore but he dragged us through the mud because he authorised spending money we didn't have and he decided after that fact he didn't want to back it up anymore. add on things like the Cooper fiasco and he hardly in the running for best chairman ever. Yeah if he was a total bastard he could have pulled the plug completely but who doesn't at least suspect he made a decision that via administration he could eventually recoup more of his money back after getting us on an even keel? I not having any of this wonderful guy pish until he puts the lid on his time here and has moved on and then we can judge his legacy.
  6. Very early to judge but about the same. For my money McGhee and some dreadful decisions caused us to underperform last season. No doubt that minus Porter and Clarkson we have less firepower up front. Ruddy got a lot to do to prove he better than Smith and so many other unknowns. We have a team capable of playing some good stuff, has shown a bit of resiliance in games where we not played our best so I still optimistic we can do better but I don't think the squad is notably better or notably worse.
  7. Fair play to Boyle he has done more right than wrong lately. But he has such a stain on his record that the day I praise him will be the day he has moved on from the club and if on that day we are in a better position than when he arrived I'll quite happily say well done and concentrate more on the positives. As it is I'll enjoy things whilst they look good but until he rides of into the sunset I will forever be suspicious of him, not least that he maybe sees a buck to be made selling Fir Park one day while we get papped off into a rented breezeblock one considerable asset down on the day he arrived.
  8. Indeed to much competition for the young lad so he slinks off elsewhere.
  9. Any compensation head our way?

    Signing #7

No he said very attacking, not renowned for turning inside 99 times out of 100 of the occasions that he goes forward and generally being hesitant to burst a gut to get into dangerous positions most of the time.

Charlton did once pay 600k for Greg Shields. Maybe we shouldn't get over excited yet.
  12. I heard Martin rose touches.... no I'll just leave that one.

    Signing #7

Interesting and true to form someone no one was thinking about.
  14. Lol the voice of optimism arrives!
  15. I share the sentiment, we'll just need to get Jim McLean on board as the man who designs the contracts!
  16. how do you get a sell on clause for an out of contract player, good work if you know how?
  17. I'd take a closer look at who it is that thinks you talk sense!
  18. Complementing perfectly the rest of the team.
  19. First division not unusally looks wide open, I reckon the spending power of Dundee will see them edge it. Klimpl if used as a defensive mid should be a good signing for them.
  20. Trying to think what games Reynolds has played competatively for us at left back as I also shared the opinion that is was a position he might be better suited to based on seeing him play in a Scotland shirt. He looked fine at home to Flamurtari but that game really hardly one for taking much serious conclusions from. There was a league cup game at home to Raith Rovers season before last I think and he look dreadful there. Did he play there the away leg in Steaua also, my connection was awful and not sure where he played afte Hammell came on after half hour or so, presumed he was moved into midfield role he played in the second leg.
  21. best wishes it all works out well for them.
  22. I don't think it possible to have this discussion at this time. Hammell has hundreds of game to show what he capable of and at his best that is a very good full back with ability to influence the game further up the park. Sadly as I commented elsewhere I don't think he is playing anything like his best these days. Reynolds has only a handful of games at left back, I think he has some of the tools to do a job there but it to early to really say.
  23. The centre half looks quite promising on paperr. The younger lad I think you have to trust Gannons judgement on his ability. Possibly if he can't get the more experienced first target of choice he thinks having a couple of young lads he can rotate from time to time will be better than relying on just the one?
  24. If he was such a great servant and I by no means got anything against him perhaps he'd take recent droppings/subbings as the kick up the arse he maybe needs to start playing at the level he showed at 17/18 years old. We have had far worse players but to me when I watch him I get the feeling of someone going through the motions, like football to him is no more of a joy to him than someone dragging themselves out of bed of a early morning to work as a postie in a Scottish winter.
