https://x.com/blackpoolfc/status/1949120298495664425?s=46&t=8C9VuM5V_21MGVj9jGzzoA you just know this will happen a few times this season but as the jam once said “that’s entertainment”
-
I’m sitting watching the hearts v Sunderland game and I have to say the way we have played in the past 2 games is miles more entertaining than this muck. Hearts keep launching the ball up the park and into Channels and Sunderland aren’t much better although are trying to play a wee bit.(they will be relegated by Xmas) i think im becoming Askou-ized
-
This has been a good second half. Another game with the level of opposition going up and another improvement from us. im just ecstatic that I’ll never see a long throw in again under JBA. This brings me joy.
-
He hasn’t had a great game at all but I’ll accept it if he scores every week. Also I’m saying about slattery being a bit off tonight and he flung in a great cross for the goal.
-
Been a bit disappointed with slattery tonight, been quite slow on the ball at times and if he was a bit sharper a few goal shoot chances could have happened. I still think Fadinger is class. I think he’ll get better and better.
-
They have some decent players tbf, their number 10 is talented and I like their big centre half who has the look of a junior player but he’s a class act.
-
They are Quite a big physical side, it’s a useful game. I think it’s obvious the team look a little tired after their exertions on Tuesday, it’s a quick turnaround and I’d have preferred more than 4 subs as the risk of injury is high when players are knackered.. id like to see us create a bit more in the 2nd half, I think at times we look very tidy on the ball but lack any cutting edge. We’ll see what the next 45 brings.
-
Agree with all of this, I like him, I think he’s a player but a £600k profit on a guy who’s been on a treatment table for a year? I think I’d grab it, and I’d offer it all to Ross County for Hale. Even Bair on loan I think ticks boxes to how JBA wants his strikers to play.
-
That would make sense, a central defender who I have no doubt has been trained to death in the possession based set up JBA wants. Looks a top young player too. although the lad Dickson we got from them last year wasn’t great.
-
Let’s face it, if we ever get anything off these 2 it’s a bonus, I’m hopeful having a foreign manager there will be less of a fear factor so many Scottish coaches have of playing them but I would be happy to go out and play to how the manager wants and see how it goes. the real tests are against every other side in the league. It’s a free hit, go out and give it your all. Hopefully they’ll be burnt out after their European exit.

I actually thought he played well when he came on. He made a really crucial block which I thought was going in and I felt he did well getting forward and was reasonably solid. Better than I’ve seen him for a while tbh
-
Difficult one to choose, i thought longelo did very well, watt was excellent, I thought slattery did well in the first half. JT very good and AP I thought put in a brilliant shift and lasted 90mins but I just felt fadinger has a real touch of class, been really impressed by him, even in the poorer games he stands out for me.
-
Well I thought on Saturday we were really poor so I’m pleasantly surprised by that. I thought it was an all round good performance. We lost our way a little but dug in, got our goal and I thought we’d drive on from there but there was another lull. Fadinger taken off affected us (he’s a great player) but we kept playing and ran out good winners, 2 great goals, really excellent. some very good performances there tonight. Really happy with a number of the new guys, at times we looked a very good side but there were a few occasions defensively we slipped back into old habits. Miles better than I’ve seen so far… cmon the well.
-
Firstly a vast improvement from the weekend. First half hour we looked really good without creating any real chances. All sort of just half chances. Longer it’s gone on we are starting to look a bit tired and as much as Morton are clearly the poorer side, they look more like scoring. Their big striker missed a sitter and that looked like a definite penalty. really interesting to see how we come out in the 2nd half. Ps, Imrie is an ar53hole
-
I think it just screams of how much we need a keeper. Ward isn’t good yet he’s picked before Connelly who to be fair, hasn’t done much wrong albeit he’s had little to do. Connellys height and presence is the issue for me, regardless of being able to pass the ball about in his 6yrd box, a commanding keeper is necessary in a good side. We moaned relentlessly about Kelly being too small and Kelly is a couple of inches taller and wider than Connelly. We’ll see how it goes tonight
-
Yeah it’s a perfect night for it, it’s a bit cooler, no rain, park will be good. We’ve almost not got any excuses tonight for a change. a few days ago I was confident we could get turned over tonight but as usual I am now thinking positively about tonight. This positivity will last until about 7.46pm just hoping for an improvement and a bit of creation and dare I say, a goal or two.

Had a Google to see if there was anything current about miller and all that was there was that Rangers are still in the running for him? The Scottish press are almost as embarrassing as old firm fans, although there is a crossover. why on earth would he go to either of them…. In particular Rangers. Utterly Ridiculous
-
Just depends who you ask bud. I thought he looked poor. But there will be others on here who’ll say he played like R9.
-
I’m really just saying what I’m seeing and I am still hopeful we’ll be ok. I quite like how the manager is and I’m quite happy how the set up at the club is. But if you can tell me what has inspired you on the park so far then I’m interested to hear it? the only thing I’ve saw that I think looks ok is a few midfielders who seem to have a bit of ability but lack a bit of creation.
-
Agree 👍
-
That’s exactly it really, Morton are way better than what we’ve played so far. In my view, and I appreciate others have other opinions, I’ve not seen anything from us that gives me a great amount of hope, maybe an occasional flash of “something” from someone but that’s it. im just hoping as we are playing a better side, on a good park that we show more creation and composure in the final third, which is the most important part of the game.
-
I’ll put this out here now, We will not be beating Morton next week. Morton have a decent side and a streetwise manager, helped by a streetwise director of football. I’ll be at the game, I’ll not be booing, shouting at players or calling for JBA,s head…. But we will not be winning that game.
-
You know, fairs fair to Stenhousemuir. They had 7 new players arrived yesterday and today (I now believe they’ve all been involved) part time players, probably not too used to plastic parks either and they’ve kept a top level, possession centric, load management team to a bare minimum of goal shoots. Thank god we have SOD’s

Watching this footage must be what it’s like having vertigo. I thought I was going to pass out there.

Apart from one slack pass wee Luca Ross has done ok since coming on, really busy, wanting the ball, making good runs.
