Paul Slane was one of the best youngsters i've ever seen at Motherwell. Such a waste that he was blessed with a brain of a Toad. If he had any sort of pride in himself or half decent attitude he could have had a very good career in the game.....cest la vie, he's not the first and certainly wont be the last to do the same!! With regards Thomas, I know someone who supports QOTS who had said he was excellent last year?? contrary to what has been said on this forum? It would be nice to see him come back with a bit more strength and a final product but I for one am not sure he will. Time will tell, would love to be proved wrong!!

I'd like to see us get someone like Paul Dixon at left back, solid defender, decent going forward. I watched Dundee Utd a few times last year and he was one of the few glimmers of hope they had. He's out of contract and i doubt money would be an issue. A Goalie would be first on the priority list tho.

As much as I think Robinson was a cheap option appointment, I don't think he's had time to be judged properly, I don't believe he was given enough time at Oldham either, although he did buy Josh Law which should trigger alarm bells on his judgement. If we stay up I think he should be given time next season to see who he gets rid of and who he picks up......unless there's any footgolf videos at pre season then he should be sacked immediately!!

We deserve to go down. Worst home record in the league, a defence who are the worst i've seen in C&A and a team with zero confidence looking more defeated week after week. I'm pretty sure Paul Kinnaird had a chronic gambling problem which was one of the reasons he was punted from Dundee Utd. He had tapped so many of his teammates for money that they spoke to McLean to have him shifted........and of course who would it be easier for Jim to deploy this excrement to.......yip, his unknowing wee brother!! I further believe Kinnaird continued to do the same at Fir Park and received an even worse fate by being sent to St Mirren. At St Mirren he teamed up with another gambling deadbeat in Frank Mcgarvey and I believe they both ended up with gangsters after them!! Wonderful tales of wasted talent.......don't you just love 'em!!

I'm guessing it's not joe mcbride from the 60s as he was one of the finest centre forwards the club ever had. I'd have a wild guess it is joe McLeod the guy means from the 90s. He was particularly shite!!

Have to agree, really difficult ball to deal with. Granted Samson didn't cover himself in glory there but Heneghan let Garner peel off him easily. For me your centre half should be at least able to move his feet better and get some form of head on it, even just to deflect it.

I had the opposite view to many on Saturday as I left Fir Park appalled by our performance and lack of urgency (apart from final 5 mins) The standard of play was shocking, ball in the air half the game, completely rudderless. Players looking disinterested, Pearson looked unfit as did MacDonald but it is clear he can still make a difference when he wants to. Defensively Samson is a poor goalkeeper, Jules is a bombscare and Ferguson (who is better than what he gave us on Saturday) looked lost. His basic timing to clear a challenge free header for the 2nd goal was awful. Louis Moult had some type of tantrum with Robinson in the 2nd half which troubled me, Robinson just shaking his head at him….dont know what was going on there? Moult is playing like someone who’s been tapped up….hopefully this is not the case. The guy Bowman is not a footballer, he looks like he should be working at a chippy. Cadden I thought did well in the first half and totally faded 2nd half….unfit. Only performance which pleased and surprised me was Frear, he worked hard and caused them some problems. I watched the highlights and I thought they made the game look ok, but I just didn’t enjoy the match at all!! Very poor and we are depending on ICT and Accies being worse than us until the end of the season otherwise I’ll be watching Motherwell in the lower leagues for the first time since the mid 80s!! As for St Johnstone, they are a well organised, horrible team to watch!! Sorry for the negativity I just really struggled to see any sign of hope on that park and a lot of the positive comments are baffling,…plus the £29 to get in to watch that was poorly spent!!

One thing about Hughes is that he does seem to hold a genuine affection for Motherwell. No idea why but I've heard him on many occasions on the Radio and TV bigging the club/fans and area up!! I think he is grasping on to the tough working man ethic the town and area had many years ago prior to it being swamped by Junkie/dole-ite/ workshy scroungers. Still don't want him tho - or Robinson - or Valikari or Craigan or Pressley......it must be the first time I have absolutely no excitement or enthusiasm for a new manager. Bring back Davie Hay.

Once again a massive kick in the baws!!! Really poor game I thought, very frustrating to watch, got slightly better in the 2nd half but 2 poor teams in my opinion and to make matters 100 times worse, those dinosaurs were there for the taking!! Surely Ainsworth coming on as an outlet for us to use was glaringly obvious was it not??? A guy who gives defences problems with his pace and has done well at Ibrox in the past, struggle to understand why he didn't get on. Fed up....miserable...cold.....time to drink
