But the principal is the same. As highlighted above, you need to spend your money wisely. Given how little so many of our players have contributed this season, it could be argued we havent done that, or at least need to do better. Of course we have been unlucky with injuries, but again, as others have pointed out some of those could have been forseen. Others, not so much. Wimmer needs to be quite ruthless if he wants to get his own players in and give himself the best chance of playing his style of football, if indeed ge still thinks he can do that. I note today there was lots of talk about "compromises". But if he does want to play a high intensity game, he will need youger fitter players to do so. After his lay off with his most recent injury he looked like he was getting back to full fitness. Cardiff, however, are looking set for the drop. Turnbull officially relegated yesterday. Wonder if he has an escape clause in his contract.

You have to wonder how much additional money the club has had to fork out on loan players to cover the crocks and duds who shouldn’t have been signed in the first place. And then consider how shit some on those loanees are. The mismanagement of the squad and budget has been staggering. Heads should roll.

However would insurance not cover at least some of the wage costs of injured players? As for loan players, who pays their wages if they return to their parent club eg Vale & now Kaleta. I was thinking about this and got me thinking about accountability or lack there of. Who's going to make the 'heads roll' for poor mgt. Previously we had an owner and if we pi55ed their money away with poor signings and bloated squads it was their cash they lost. Versus being in a community model does it hurt as much ? It could be a coincidence that since we've moved to the community model we've in tandem moved to signing +15 players every season. As I say appreciate it could easily be a coincidence but it has got me thinking about it.

A very good point but I think that our no claims bonus us is well and truly shot. 1

I remember reading something ages ago that the insurance policy to cover this eventuality was administered by the SPL/SPFL and covered every club for a set premium each year. Not sure if that's still the case (probably not) as I would imagine if one club makes multiple claims the other clubs with less claims could in theory end up picking up the tab. If its the case that each club have their own individual policy then our premiums will be astronomical at the next renewal date. Or such a thing might not even exist. Maybe a question for the Well Society?

Not a risk of injury, a dead cert for an injury.

It's amazing how the mood of a game can create that kind of chaos. And if Forbes hadn't missed the pen, we would never have had the pleasure of that finish.

I remember when Forbes missed I looked to the sky then when I looked back down Graeme Smith and Kevin McBride will celebrating with each other. I was perfectly in line with with Lukas shot from the POD, arse left the stratosphere when the net rippled. Such an amazing game, to think we went to Ibrox days later and we were down 3-1 going into stoppage time.

Toxteth O'Grady
Ricki Lamie playing for Hamilton Accies at Falkirk tonight. I didn't realise he was there, but Wikipedia tells me he is on loan from Ross County.
mio
I hadn’t realised Lamie was there either, him and Ollie Shaw…. They will be excellent in league 1 next year 🤣 It’s not a bad game to be fair, id love to see Falkirk coming up, easy to get to, decent support, play attacking football and are absolutely rank rotten defensively. All plus points for me. out of interest and ex player related, I was watching the boy in their midfield Brad Spencer and thinking I liked the look of him, Google searched him and he’s John Spencer’s kid. See if you get rid of the Glesga Arse Cheeks, our league could be this tense and competitive !

Happy that Falkirk won 👏, they will bring more fans to Fir Park next season than Livingston will , of course we could see both of them
