Have you been to Derby? Jeezus, it’s like a big Airdrie. As it was mentioned above I do hope he’s got a relegation clause in his contract or he could be heading in the same direction as Turnbull.

On the money he'll be getting he won't need to live in Derby itself. Plenty of nice spots in the Dales within a half hour drive, or Mickleover on the outskirts where some of the other players seem to live.

Talking about slowish stars to the league, Derby were 19th last season are sitting 20th this season with 2 losses and a draw.

Johnston is a good player. If Derby County was the best option his agent could find for a move to England, he needs a new agent.

As far as money goes, I hope he is on a good deal, but if the figures are to believed, he was on £7,900 a week in Austria, which would make him the 5th or 6th best paid player at Derby if they match it.

Of course there are lots of good reasons to want to live and work closer to home, and it doesn't all need to be about the money.

I just hope he gets game time.

That’s a good question and something we’ve been stung with in the past by having our managers working without a set out contract ie. Gannon, Craig Brown.

I don’t think we need to worry about Rangers moving for JBA if/when Martin gets the boot but it’s something worth taking into consideration especially seeing as it was never made public (to my knowledge anyway) if or what contract our manager is on.

I get the man is dead etc and there is money involved but I couldn’t sell anything like this from a family member. That’ll be my Motherwell blinkers going on though. I suppose if they are sold I hope they go to a good Motherwell home.

Our own legend Jamie Dolan passed 17 years ago today . Brilliant player 👏 👏

very good player,  great servant.

I know it was only a 30 min cameo in goals against Celtic but loved that particular appearance from Jamie.

A shame but maybe the owners badly need the cash or they have no interest in or knowledge of football or Johnny's career.

Yeah it’s just a shame. I do get it right enough.

A legendary goalkeeper for Motherwell. Weird his league cup winning medal isn’t up for sale ?
