Asking for a friend who's fed up with sea food Close enough to Cajun and Creole country, so lots of great food depending on your preferences. From grits and collard greens to jambalaya and chitlins. Red beans and rice is my favourite with skillet corn bread. After testing out loads of recipes I make a mean version myself with Andouille sausage, Tasso ham and "the trinity". Seafood too, of course - lots of blackened fish, but not a Boston scrod in sight.

I ask myself the same question Dave, I reckon it's more USA cuisine and less the ingredients

I had scrod at Union Oyster House in Boston when I was there for the game a few weeks back. Delicious.

Delicious. It's nice once in a while, but along with clam chowder seems to appear on every menu in every restaurant in New England. One of my favourite seafood dishes is from a local joint that serves shrimp stuffed with crab meat that you dip in melted butter. I like soft shell crab too.
