Really need to take the 3 points. Dont care how ugly it is. We need to take something out of this run of fixtures and Tuesday is probably our best chance. Be nice to see Hammy mix it up and start McKinstry Moult and KVV up top and just go for it.

Slattery and Efford start, Maguire and Cornelius benched.

Slattery being back is a major boost, and let’s hope Efford continues his decent form playing wide on the right attacking too. On the other hand, Shields getting a start again is a mystery to me. He offers nothing.

I imagine at some point Effords, Shields and Spittal will be sat down and Cornelius, Moult and McKinstry will participate although not sure when or in which order.  I think any other subs will be for injuries or perhaps if Slattery gets really knackered having been out for a bit.

Agree in an attacking sense but I think he puts a lot of grunt work in defensively.  Attacking wise he wants a touch too many before shooting, struggles to get crosses past the defender closing him down and seems a bit unwilling to take players on and run at them. Definately a player that needs thru balls behind the defence to run onto.

I don’t believe Efford or Shields are any where mear good enough . I agree re them not being part of the longer term plan - I’d rather we played mckinstry and tierney  from the start

Slattery being back is a major boost.

With him and Goss back together in the middle and willing runners in front of them we should control the game.

We need to start taking chances though....
