When I see someone playing football, trying to use their speed I think I’ll get someone on who thinks there is a football & if I just run the manager will appreciate me. Fu*k off Robinson. And I don’t want any of you to tell me about the goal he has scored because it’s just the 1 thing he has ever done.

I don’t necessarily think we played bad, we just didn’t play good.  I agree with others in that I would not have subbed Tavares and Robinson on. Either leave original two on or bring on Watt and Moses. Having said that, I am not calling for SK’s head. For all his faults I think he is a good manager for us.

We were dire. Stama, Robinson and Tavares would struggle to get a game for most teams in the Championship.

The old failings.

No-one physical enough up front to hold the ball up and let our midfield (what midfield you might ask) up in support.

You can't give a team like Rangers that amount of possession and territorial advantage and expect anything.

Was disappointed we didnt at least have a wee spell of pressing them back.

On the bright side I don't have to visit that sh**hole of a ground again for a while.

When you set out not to win that's exactly what happens. Watt must be fuckin raging at that today.

Not saying I wouldnt have brought Watt and Moses on instead of Robinson and Tavares, but Watt would have no right to be raging.

If he put the work in to lose weight and get fitter he would be a shoe in for a start far less as a second half sub.

He is a shadow of the player we had before and if he isnt willing or able to get himself in shape, I would have no interest in offering him a contract at the end of his loan.

he still have been better than the utter dross that came on. 2 stone over weight and blind he'd have been better.

It's not possible to play worse than Tavares did today.

When we played Panathinaikos away a Greek paper gave Omar Daley 0/10 which I had never seen before. For Tavares today you need to go into negative numbers.

Not the point I was making.

You said Watt would be raging.

He would have a cheek.

Just get fit.

I’ve tried to calm myself down, but I can’t. Today’s loss is on Kettlewell. He’s a clown. He’s clueless. His approach and his subs. Uggh.

Likewise , Im so angry at that today. I can take defeat , christ I'm a Motherwell fan so it a prerequisite , but that today was avoidable. Not saying wed have won but we'd have gone down fighting whereas we just meekly let that game away from us. ALL SK fault.

Well he would be right to be raging cos the manager brought on players that couldnt lace his boots irrespective of what condition you may think he's in. Fuck me Robinsons brain isnt connected to his feet and as for Tavares I'm lost for words.

Can’t fault the effort but that was a really poor performance today. Whilst we are more defensively robust this season, we have a fraction of the quality we had going forward last season. The countless long balls played into Rangers hands and the long throw tactic needs to stop.

The substitution of the front two was bizarre and killed any belief I had. Stama and JT fed off scraps but they both carried a threat and it would surely have been worthwhile moving Miller forward at 1-1 to see if he could create anything for them. Instead, we are left with the most ineffective front two I’ve seen since the dark days of Main and Sammon. Presumably Watt remains miles off it but for Moses not to get a minute to stretch his legs on such a big pitch baffles me.

Credit to Ox and Kaleta, our two standouts.

The only two to get pass marks but I direct 90% of my anger at SK.

Kettlewell frustrates me at times but certainly not a clown but yes he got subs wrong today.  He needs to realise that Robinson isn't going to be the next Theo Bair.  We are sitting 4th in league so you know what it ain't all bad.

And sorry and it's just my opinion but sooner we ban flares from football the better, walking to game with flares wafting in my face and then the flares in stadium have no place at football.

Just back in from the game, which for one reason or another became a 12 hour round trip. Gutted at the result. We didn't play particulrly well but having got our noses in front I thought we might have calmed down and maybe managed to get the ball down and hold it more. Like another poster above, I completely lost heart at the subs,  given that we needed someone who can control and hold a ball up, I was expecting Watt to come one. Even half fit, his ball control is better and his ability to collect the ball and win fouls or hold it up is well known.  Also kind expected to see Moses instead of Robinson.  In the end we went out with a whimper although, a lot of players ran themselves into the ground today.

Crowd were great as well, apart form my phone vid of the teams coming out just became a wall of coloured smoke 🙂 Laugh of the day was a steward running down the stairs to chin a guy for vaping while the kick off delay for the smoke to clear was still going on 🙂

Thought first half today was passable, albeit we werent brilliant. Limited Rangers to 2 decent chances and scored a very good goal.

Second half, I expected us to tweak things a little to get more control of the midfield, but if anything we regressed.

Not sure whether that was down to tactical failure or whether Rangers were just better then us at moving the ball.

The subs were wrong and made us weaker instead of better and thats on Ketts.

Cant fault the players for endeavour, but feels like an opportunity lost.

You also need as manager who doesn't think 11 men behind a ball and boot it long will achieve anything.

Well the manager achieved our first semi final in a while and only the 11th League Cup semi final in our existence.

We've rarely ever beaten the Old Firm in our post war history and the only two times we've beaten Rangers or Celtic in a semi final in 40 plus years was a historically bad Celtic team that didn't finished top 2 over a run of about 5 seasons, and a Rangers team managed by Pedro Caixinha that was even worse than this Rangers team.

We've over achieved getting to the semi final.  Slating the players and manager seems a bit unseemly to me.

The odds before this match were Rangers 1.3 Motherwell 8.5.

The bookies don't get it wrong very often.

My comment was in relation to todays game and SK masterplan for the game , nothing more and I stand by it. Boot long and constantly losing possession gets you one outcome and thats what we got.
