Orinoco
Another free hit. Would like Ox back in. Aberdeen did not even need to get out of 2nd gear this half.

Orinoco
We don't deserve top six. We barely deserve to stay in the league. Same players letting us down again. Tho, this formation just did not work in last two games. We need more options up top.
texanwellfan
I’m keeping in mind that MW’s job this season is to keep us up. However, we are so close to top six that defeats like this (and how we played) are very disappointing. Still in with chance but need two victories and StMirren to drop points. robsterwood
That's embarrassing result. Poor all round. Why Manwanise not getting more time?

ppower
Normal service resumed. Poor squad. Some of those players wouldn't get picked for my five a side games. Dons goalie had only one save to make. We were lucky it was only 4. No money at the club. We are what we are. A mediocre team buying bargain basement players. Easier just to accept the situation rather than dreaming it will improve. I was a season ticket holder for about 25 years. Stopped going about 5 years ago. You would need to kidnap me off the street to force me to watch the rubbish that is served up now as football

Irrespective on whether it was a foul or not. Everyone knew after the referee had the discussion that any ball towards goalie was going to be a foul. The commentators even said as much. He should have got out of there totally. His and many of our players decisions are woefully bad. As I've said it was a lazy performance. twistandshout1983
4-1 a drubbing , but must win the next 2 games which is still a possibility surely Maybe 🤔 too optimistic, but still behind the Wimmer revolution regardless of top 6 or bottom
Ya Bezzer!
Obvious what the issues are. Our away form is abysmal. Last 12 we've won 2 drawn 1 and lost 9. And only 1 win in the last 9 away matches which was at Ibrox. Post Kettlewell we are 2-1-4, never kept a clean sheet and have conceded 2+ goals in the majority of the matches. (2,3,3,4). mfc
Defensively we're a shambles and until the manager has the time to make the necessary changes and get some new faces in were not going to make any steps forward,I'll be glad when this season is done and we can part ways with several players that aren't good enough. Spit_It_Out
Every international break without fail its like they just switch off goes in one ear and out the other time and time again its the same old story. If i didnt know we had changed manager thats a Kettlewell on one of his bad runs performance a carbon copy same players making the same mistakes and effort. Just need to squeek over the line and Wimmer can gent some players in that will do the job he wants them to do properly.

FirParkCornerExile
1 hour ago, MJC said: The squad is full of mediocre/poor players so it’s no surprise. As you say that’s clearly not Wimmers fault but he’s inherited a shite squad and he’s got a big challenge to try and get a tune out of it. Been saying it for months that squad is garbage. How can we have so many players who couldn't trap a bag of cement or pass the ball 10 feet to one of their own players under no pressure. Wimmer has inherited some amount of shite. He has a big rebuild, if we don't get dragged into the mix at the bottom. Based on the last two games that is still a possibility. Dundee beating Ranger 2-0 right now isn't a help. Who is rescuing Kilmarnock next week?

Kmcalpin
1 hour ago, wellfan said: New manager, same issues. Aberdeen have completely bossed us. We can’t defend and we can barely string an attack together. The intensity of the press is also non-existent. I’ve said before that the damage done by Kettlewell will take Wimmer at least 18 months to rectify. Thats pretty much it for me. I didn't quite get all the hype about today's game but a £10 entrance was, for many, a huge attraction and a chance to visit Pittodrie. All today's results went the way I thought they would, and its a game less for St Johnstone to catch up. If Dundee get beaten later, then I'll be happy. We were never going to make top 6 and it we can retain 8th spot before the split I'll be delighted; it'll be tough though. Our line up was limited with only Armstrong being a striker and not a goalscorer at that. Manwhanise, of course wouldn't be fully recovered from his travels. Michael Wimmer will need time to rectify Kettlewell's personnel mistakes as you say, and today's game turned out, in the end, to be an excellent opportunity to assess our weaknesses. Today will be an invaluable lesson for him in his quest to bring in new faces in the summer. Surely defdnce must be a priority? Short term pain long term gain as the saying goes. For me, finishing 10th this season will be job done. Anything better than that is a bonus.
