On a serious note out with Miller who in our team would command a decent fee?

Clearly AS was brought in in the hope he would do us a turn get good and sell on  but that's looking like 50/50 for me still time to shine.

Slattery might get us a low 6 figure fee decent enough player.

We really need quality and let's be honest it doesn't take that much quality to look fantastic in Scottish football I hope Wimmer is backed ten fold to do so.

If ox and maswanhise can improve a tad then possible fee for them and Sparrow

Stama has 2 years left on his contract so he does still have ‘time to shine’. However, given he’s made of tissue paper and is 10,000 miles from home, I think the best we can hope to get from our investment is a few more goals and assists. He certainly hasn’t put himself in the shop window this season.

I'd happily move him on - ideally for some cash

He averages 12-17 games per season, this season isn't unsusal for him.

We can't afford this type of player on our books. image.png.e4fb385dac6405f27cd16e63e51227eb.png

Aye, we have several of these types on our books, hence the tissue paper comment. We’ve amassed a bloated squad littered with crocks and duds.

I would give Stama a pre season and  until the January transfer window 2026 if we don't see anything by then maybe best to part ways if we can but I have the feeling he might be off this summer.

Seen glimpses of something but he needs to stay fit as a fiddle week in week out and I don't think that part is achievable sadly.

He shouldn’t be going anywhere this summer unless another club offers us some decent money for him.

Stama wasn't played properly by Kettlewell at first, was playing the lone striker role. When we went 2 up top with Stama and Maswanhise they were looking a good partnership. I am not writing Stama off yet , a full pre season and hopefully wimmer can get best out him.

I still have my suspicions he wont play for us again.

Based on what?

Nothing more than ever since his new baby arrived he's been permanently injured and unavailable,  very little mention of him from Fir Park, so just an opinion.

Except he became a father prior to arriving at the club.

Did he break his arm to spend more time with the baby?

I don't know how unsettled he is, but I also don't see this as an Ian Vigurs "sore back" situation.

I don't think anyone would break their arm to the point where it required surgery to spend more time with their kid.

I know people who would break their own arm to AVOID spending more time with their kids 😁

The club put out a statement after he broke his arm - one that required surgery. He also posted on his socials saying he was gutted and looking forward to next season

Time will tell if he's part of MW's plans come the summer rebuild.

He's still our player for another two years though and we actually paid a fee for him, so I hope that he proves his worth next season.

So do I, we've had enough injuries and unavailable players this season to last a lifetime.

Not because of yesterday but I’d sign Watt (reasonable wages of course) he’s not injury prone, experienced, can actually control a ball and pass, decent level, just needs kept in line for fitness and attitude. As good as or better than a lot of the signings we’ve made the past couple of years.

Yup, no way can we write off £250k.  I still think he will come good

I agree. In the right set up he could be an asset. I don't think he would demand a fortune in wages. Once he got riled up by Holt yesterday he really showed what he can contribute. Perhaps along with the rest make a point of handing him a nice wee fitness programme and diet sheet over the summer though.

That said, no matter which attackers we end up with I hope we don't isolate a single striker and hope for miracles. On that basis I'm looking forward so seeing what a fit and supported Ap Stam can do with a decent run in the team.

re Watt - much would depend on our style of play.  As part of a front 3 or sitting just behind the strikers he's an asset.

The issue for me is

1) He's had all season to prove himself and show what he has.  There's only been glimpses.
2) The formations we've often played haven't suited him.  This could continue to be an issue.

To retain him for me we'd have to get rid of of several other contracted forward players and play more than 1 up front.

That being said he's the other loanee forward I'd consider retaining.
