One of the players mentioned was the ex-Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove who they sold for (supposedly) £2m. Scored 47 in 103 games and only 28 years old. Wonder if he's someone worth considering? Cosgrove was terrible at Aberdeen and then went on a mad run of good form out of nowhere. Honestly, you'd have to imagine that it was a one off since there has been little sign of him repeating it.

I listened to the Sportsound Podcast and its exactly this. Lazy journalism generating clickbait by bastardising something that wasnt even an interview. I actually thought Lee Miller did well NOT to give any information away when asked a direct question. It does seem that A CLUB has made an offer though and that the family/player are happy with that club and that both clubs are trying to thrash out a deal suitable to all parties. That was my take anyway. If the rumours of it being Como are true that would be an unbelievable move for the boy. Playing your football in the most picturesque stadium on the planet under the management of one of the worlds best midfielders with a chance to impress and attract even bigger clubs? Oh, and the owners are loaded.......

Spit_It_Out
Cause those thighs injuries are so bad the heal from and so easy to go again. I had a grade 2 strain on my thigh while I was running which I suspect this is 10 weeks later I was healed ready to do light running again which I did for a month then I was able to do 10ks again. Low and behold two 10ks later it tore again same place and was now a grade 3!8 months it took to heal and I didn't run for 12 months. With him being a footballer more chance of him getting a knock on it again if he is back for October then he has healed very well. I ment forget about him as in general I ment as in the present and it's a surprise when he returns lol.

MJC
Absolute joke that we have yet another player out with yet another injury which will keep him out for over a month. And before anybody tries the “but, but, b b b b b b b b b but, but….any player can get injured” excuse, I accept that. What I can’t accept and can’t understand is why we consistently have players picking up injuries which rule them out for lengthy periods like this. I’ve said this before but the words “speedy recovery” have got to be the most used on our social media platforms over the last two years. It’s beyond ridiculous now. You have to conclude that this is down to us signing players whom we know are crocked before we sign them (the most likely scenario, imo) or we are doing something wrong in training or relating to fitness, preparation, nutrition and so on. No harm whatsoever to Jordan McGhee or indeed any of the many players we have had that have suffered injuries that have kept them out for long periods over the last two years and indeed I do wish him a “speedy recovery” but this has happened to too many players and for too many lengthy layoffs for it to be simply put down to bad luck or “any player can get injured”. If it had been the same manager I could see the point but askou just in and to be honest this is the only injury we have had, well ox also. Mcghee played a lot near the end of season so I think this has just been unlucky

Totally agree. Not the new manager’s fault as McGhee had already signed a pre-contract agreement some time ago. But, yes another drain on the wage bill that can’t contribute. However, you could imagine a scenario where we offer a young lad a one year deal on say £750 pw (just making this up) and Livingston offer him a 2 year deal on say £700 pw. I suspect Ross County will be paying Premiership wages, but not every young lad want to relocate to Dingwall.

Only fair to mention given the chat about McGhee being a typical Kettlewell crock signing. Not suggesting we shouldn't be looking at him but just worth saying given the angst on here when we sign someone with a recent record of injury... robsterwood
He's also 5 ft 8 and we already have one of the smallest squads I've seen for a while. It showed on Saturday that we lost a lot of the 50, 50 battles to the taller more physical players.

Why is only being 5'8" a problem its the footballing ability that counts, I guess, messi, Maradona, Gerd Muller, and many more smaller players that have been great players, would never make your team. We certainly don't have any of the players similar to ones you mention. I know we need ability and get your point, but a lot of spl games are physical battles and I'm conscious most of our team are smaller. I just think we need a few bigger lads to help out. You need to win the ball and have possession in order to play.

Some big guys would help there as well as defending corners once we start to play better teams.

weeyin
Sometimes it's just a bad fit. Classic example for Hearts was John Sutton. Good with us, struggled at Hearts and then came back to Fir Park for a 22 goal season.
