Good to see new faces, but still needing a central defender.

Totally agree we need at least 1 CB, probs 2.

I wonder if he is also looking at a goalie as it appears he doesn't think Ox can play with his feet and Ward hasn't been great at shot stopping?

I don't think we'll be looking for another goalie tbh. We would recall Matty if we wanted another option surely? Also think for all the errors on Saturday Ward made a couple of very decent saves to keep us from losing

I like Ward. You can see he's vocal and an organiser of the defense and he's also comfortable with the ball at his feet. My only issue is he reminds me very much of Kelly. Not the tallest, weak at cross balls and generally reluctant to come off his line. Ox was flying before his last injury. I'd be more than happy to see him back between sticks.

I'm trying to get rid of a few Baily Rice from under my decking. Ideas welcome.

According to today's BBC gossip Rangers want Rice to sign a new contract before they allow him to go out on Loan

Rangers want midfielder Bailey Rice, 18, to sign a new deal before sending him out on loan. (Herald - subscription required)

I'm hearing Thier  fans not to bothered if he does or not. Don't think they overly impressed.

Haven’t seen him at all and so have no idea if he’s the type of player that would benefit us or not. Like most people are saying, regardless of how good Rice is, I’d much rather use our resources to get a starting centre back.

At the moment he’s definitely not the type of player to benefit us. From what I’ve seen and speaking to normal rangers fans I know they feel Rangers have destroyed him and his confidence. He’s also cursed with the Lennon miller comparison constantly which is a weight to carry for a young player. (Not that i feel sorry for him as that’s on him and his father)

unless he’s coming to us permanently …. Even then I’m not sure…I see zero point in a loan deal where this will only really benefit rangers and potentially Rice.

Bailey Rice transfer wont benefit us one bit if he and his agent had any sense go Ayr or Partick type team to a get game time week in week out if he is good enough.

We need some defence signings now or its really going to be Kevin Keegan football for the rest of the season which wouldnt be a bad thing least we shall be entertained.

Not going to lie but this is turning into the one of the best transfer windows for a good number of years.Longelo keeps this up and we are already looking at a seven figure digit value love watching him play .Longelo and Just ooze class.

Yep. The club appear to have invested wisely. The unfortunate side is that these players probably won't hang around for long but at least we should see some decent money coming in.

My view is that he could have stayed at Motherwell and didn't. I do get that he was likely offered more wages to go but I can't see this happening

My feelings too. I bear (?) the lad no ill will. He left us for a substanital hike in wages to join his and his father's favourite team.  I totally get that. Actions have consequences however, and his football development has suffered. You're paid your money and you takes your choice. Good luck to him.

And that's what it's all about...if we can turn the Miller money into more money through trading, then it's all good
