The sarcastic response to the questions about Watt and Hendry made me wince a bit. I know it's a stupid question given he answered the same question last week but journalists need to do their job.

Too much of it and there will be journalists who will be itching to put thr boot in should we hit a slump...

The journos love him for the big tease that he is.

I thought it was very clever of Askou. Not only did his comments reassure us fans, they also sent a clear message to the Club Board. Promises made should be promises kept and the time to consider a sale is at season end.

I’ve a feeling that there’s some sort of agreement or understanding between the club, the manager and the players to see out the season.
I feel that there’s players are totally onboard with JBA and are willing to wait and see how we finish the season and some may also agree to stay on if he’s stays and that the club will back their decisions.
For the club it’s a win win situation as everyone’s stock will only increase (injuries avoided) and Europe could be a money spinning miracle should the core of the team remain and additions are made.

From what we've heard from the Chairman, CEO, and JBA himself, they all have a good working relationship and are in constant contact, so I dont think he needs to send messages to his own board through the media.

I took what he said as making it public that the club is aligned, which means it would take a ridiculous bid for a player to change anything.  We will have our price, like anyone else, but there's definitely a premium in January.

I'm very heartened from JBA's presser. It seems like a steady as you go approach is no longer acceptable. Its no longer our plan to just keep a successful squad together for as long as we can; rather we want strengthen it if possible by bringing in another 1/2/3 players. No massive overhaul required just gradual improvement. Our rivals will be trying to strengthen this window so we must keep that bit ahead of them.  We'll see what the next 10 days or so bring.

We should be signing a CB anyway regardless of Welsh situation/timing

Ideally I'd like a replacement for Gordon (who I reckon might leave in the summer) in now so that he can get settled in so that in the summer he's used to how we play and ready for (hopefully) European games. My thinking is if we're shopping in the Scandinavian market, their close season might make a permanent move easier...

Well, it’s all quiet on here with 1 week left to go. I’m hoping it gets a bit more Lively with incoming news as opposed to outgoing.

Have faith. JBA knows we need reinforcements and they will duly arrive

Welsh is on transfermarket as 800k. That seems a bit rich for us. Maybe we need to speculate to accumulate but it’s been noticeable that our centre backs recently haven’t been centre backs. Maybe it shows we are controlling games and want players to step out from the back  and play into midfield but against the ugliest and tarts we might need to reconsider.

I think Thor coming in allows a plan B to teams low block  so happy so far. Would like a left back though and a centre back.  Can’t see us buying anyone though and think loan options will be utilised

As per usual there's been a couple more rumours regarding tawanda think it's all just talk but the one that caught my eye was that Turkish clubs are interested

Trasbonzspor have the more concrete interest but would only offer 5 million

The not so concrete one but the more interesting one was from galatasary for 6.5 and a loan back tik the end of the season

To be honest, 6.5 and loan back would be very difficult to turn down.  However let's hope none of our players going anywhere

I think if we lose Maswanhise at this point in the window we've not left ourselves enough time to replace him I think if it was going to happen he'd of been gone before the Scottish Cup game so providing we don't get a ridiculous bid put in for him or he pushes for a move i think he'll be here to the end of the season.

JBA seemed to be of the same opinion. I don't remember his exact wording, but the gist was the club wasn't going to repeat the mistake of letting players go towards the end of the window with no chance to recruit cover.

If the 6.5 million and loan back is true, I'd bite your hand off for that one.

That make sense we've got the opportunity to finish the season really strong and potentially even win a cup.

If someone is offering 5m+ for JT, we're accepting it while trying our best to keep a straight face, and will change our phone number the second its signed.

Every player at every club has a price, and if someone wants to pay the January premium, then it will happen. I don't think anyone will offer what it would take though.

Has a buy and loan back deal actually happened? Or are they as made up as the player + cash deals that don't happen either.
