I know it's age-related but me too. We've had some honking strips over the years which deliberately turned their backs on a very unusual combination of colours and design which are unique. We can always reserve the honking designs for the change strips if necessary. Sadly I think we'll get another jersey next season designed by an interior designer on psychedelic drugs. I'm not sure it's an age thing I wreckon I'm one of the younger posters on here at 30. But I just like our traditional kit and wish we took a bit more pride in it.

You don’t see Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs or Dundee Utd straying from their core home kits like we do with last seasons or the horrific ‘throwback’ effort from a few years ago. I've never been one to get worked up over strip details or trims but I much prefer our traditional top of amber with a claret band.

My gripe is when they dont use the badge and use just the typeface. I love our club crest - A thing of beauty. Anyway, I'd love us to get something closer to the 86-87 strip:

Even when I started watching us around 1970, we only had one hoop season until 1984. Our kit in the 1925-26 season looked like this: I'd be OK if we did that as a tribute 100 years later.
purestate
Maybe we should go all out for the sponsorship approach like Lukas’ old club Rheindorf Altach! something strangely appealing and continental

andalg Posted yesterday at 11:21 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:21 AM As we dont really have to change due to colour clash that often why dont we do Home Strip - traditional with hoop Away Strip - Claret and Amber stripes 3rd Strip - All one colour.

We could go with stripey shorts in a nod to the jester kit! 😆😆😆 (I am kidding!) I agree. Always preferred claret or amber shorts with our home kit. As mentioned above, Id quite like to see the away kit being the reverse of the home kit. Claret shirt, claret shorts n socks and amber hoop..... Also, their "traditional" designs are not too traditional. Dundee Utd, for example, didn't start playing in tangerine until 1969 and Aberdeen played in yellow and black stripes for about 40 years before they changed to the "traditional" red. We never wore black shorts in the 50/60’s……..shorts were always white until 1968 According to Historical football kits …….we wore black shorts as away strip with home top 1927-29 and with home kit just after War 1947/
wunderwell
I’ve heard that the strip is kind of like a continual blend of our colours merging whatever the hell that means… maybe that’s like amber flowing gradually down into claret or the other way round sounds interesting anyway

Start giving the fans an opportunity to buy a sponsor free version I'm sure it would be a big seller.
