First half was the better of the two . We didn’t create many chances and the word ‘powderpuff ‘ is fair .

thought we were poor second half and don’t have any bench strength to change it .

fadinger in the defensive mid role gives the protection that’s been missing for some time . Thought he was excellent

Positives- clean sheet away from home, and 67% possession

Negatives - we need more central striking options.

Also positive - unbeaten start to the league after 2 tough fixtures.

A good point away from home against a team of hammer throwers (sorry media). However the performance didn't tell us anything we didn't know before.  We need 2 central defenders and 2 more physical strikers. I presume Kofi Balmer is on his way out?

A good solid point today and I’m pleased with that. Kind of a ‘game of two halves’ in that it was a good first half performance where we completely controlled the midfield and then fell away quite a bit in the second 45.

Watt, Fadinger and Slattery were very comfortable throughout even though they looked less effective as the game wore on.

A clean sheet too into the bargain so that’s a big positive.

On the downside we continue to look ineffective upfront and that will need to be addressed going forward and the potential for yet another ‘speedy recovery’ with Johnny K.

But definite grounds for cautious optimism.

Another positive result to try and build on,were definitely needing some incomings in central defence and up front being the priority but I still think we're a midfielder short also.

When you are showing cautious optimism then that is a good sign

Well we’re two league games in and unbeaten, which when you take into account that the two games were against Rangers at home and then St.Mirren in Paisley then it’s pretty decent.

We need to improve in certain areas though otherwise we’ll not be winning many games but there is still time in this window to do something about that.

Very decent performance today. We kept the ball ever so well and won it back quickly when we did lose it.

Led to a mostly comfortable afternoon. One loose pass back, a few dangerous corners ( one forced a great save from Ward) and a couple of shots from distance was about it for St Mirren.

That said, for all our possession and nice football, our final ball was lacking and we didnt create as many clear cut chances as we should have.

Didnt give St Mirren much opportunity to bully us physically, although there were still a few "timely" tackles, but the referee dealt with them adequately for the most part.

We clearly still need dre-inforcements. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will see Miller move on and our squad finalised.

We are not far away. Totally dominant today. Final ball was poor but I'll tell you this this Motherwell team are infinitely more watchable that the shite we watched under Alexander , Hammel and Kettlewell. I enjoyed the game again today , a goal would have rounded off a controlled professional performance. SOD had a fine game and I'll be interested to see the handball again that wasnt given.

St Mirren really are a shower of dirty bastards..

That was the most impressive aspect of our game.

I’m glad Archie McPherson is only commenting for one week on sportscene, it’s a brutal listen. It’s like sitting next to one of the old codgers in the main stand.

Something about Calum Ward having a good game against Celtic last week? 🤔

Yeah, ramblings of a bewildered OAP. I was waiting for some comments from him about how if we were an independent country that we’d lose all our pensions.

An excellent performance again. Our midfield 3 are a joy to watch at times, backed up by others willing to work hard around them to receive the ball. Happy to watch this type of football in preference to most of the football we’ve played over the last few years. Oh ……. and St Mirren are a shower of dirty bastards.
