MJC
I was sure we would lose this one before they lost at Tannadice last night and now I am absolutely convinced of it. A lot of people getting way, way ahead of themselves about this team when we’re yet to register a league game win and have thrown away the maximum points in our last three games. The omens aren’t good either when you look at how Cup/League double headers against Aberdeen go. We’ve had plenty of them over the years and the trend is usually win one, lose one with the only exception being a 1-1 draw in February 2022 the week after we knocked them out of the Scottish Cup. Doesn't feel at the moment that we need to take too many risks by rushing players back. Same will apply to McGinn and Hendry (and Slattery in a couple of weeks)... As to how we'll go this Saturday? In this situation with two non Old Firm teams playing each other two weeks in a row, you generally say one team doesn't win both. I'm not so sure. The aforementioned potential return of Just, Hendry and McGinn will keep the players on the pitch from relaxing too much... Did Motherwell not lose to St Johnstone last season in same circumstances ? Fair comment but I have a feeling that instead of 11 first team players we now have a squad who play, and fight, for each other, don't expect to play every game and respect a manager who may not get every thing right, but he is the Boss. You do have a glass got hee haw in it outlook and where I don't think people getting carried away i tend to look at fact we still have not lost a competitive game all season. Yes we should have won about 3 of thor games but our squad is looking the healthiest it has for years and that I with us selling our star player

It's nice you have found a way to stick to your core negativity principles amongst all the good work the new manager and players are doing.
texanwellfan
Hopefully we can get a good sized home crowd behind the team. Not sure how many Dons fans will be making the trip. Get right behind the team and if we can get off to a good start maybe their heads will go down and we can heap more misery on them.
