7 goal swing with hibs great,  don't quite understand mccann,  yup killie started well but I thought from my seat a defo red card. I just love watching us and the atmosphere is great.   I didn't rate but not sure why Thompson got boos,  certainly not a player we miss, looks like yer mate that turns up for 7 a side when a player short

McCann not quite accurate with his comments

Another great game today , an absolutely brilliant team we have at the minute 👏

I’m not sure what everyone else thinks but I think Sam Nicholson will be like a brand new player when he gets back fit.

There’s been real positive comments from Jens about what he’s seen so far from him in the training and what he’s doing.
I always thought he looked a talented player but didn’t suit the Kettlewell approach but I think he’ll slide in to our style of football really well.
with him coming back, Watt getting back I just think we need a defender in the January window to make this special season even more special.

2012/13

Finished 2nd on GD of +16 with 63 point

2013/14

2nd on GD of +4 with 70 points

Were they both Stuart McCall seasons? It is impressive when you see that. Even now this season we will be going somewhat to reach 70 points.

Thought Slattery's pass for the first goal was sublime today. It really shows what he is capable of. If he is 3rd/4th choice midfielder at the moment it shows the strength of the squad.

Really happy with that today, looked a bit ropy for the first 20 - 25 minutes and rode our luck with the offside goal and the one off the bar but afterwards there was only going to be one winner. Ward made a great save to keep the clean sheet at home record going.

Thought we struggled the first 20 minutes. Killie did well to disrupt our patterns of play and were very physical. However, we eventually figured them out and had wrestled back control by the time we scored the first goal.

The boy Lowery is a little unlucky with the red card. Both are probably justifiable yellows on their own, but you expect the referee to give him the last chance waggy finger on the second.

No sympathy for McCann though as he had clearly instructed hisnplayers to be leaving a little bit on tackles and several other Killie players got away with worse challenges than Lowery.

After that it was one way traffic and 4-0 didnt flatter us at all. Some lovely football and interplay.

Bjorgolfsonn looked good when he came on and it was interesting to see Jens go with 2 up top at the end. Could be a useful tactic in certain circumstances going forward.

The young boy McColm didnt look out of place either in his short cameo.

Overall, a decent performance and a great 3 points.

40 points in January isnt too shabby at all.

and it has to be said, Polworth is still one of the biggest bellends in Scottish football. An absolute con of a player. Every new manager sticks him directly into the team (cos he can actually play)and then after a month drop him when they realise what he’s about.

From purely a footballing perspective Polworth could probably fit into our team (took his “goal” well today) but agree his personality/hangups would absolutely not - classic case of self-sabotaging a career.

And surprise surprise he never did, he hardly touched the ball when he came on, big Thor showed more desire to get on the ball in 20 mins than Stamatelopoulos has done all season.

To be fair he looked a bit more lively than last week and played a nice lay off which started the build up for fourth goal.

dont see us playing with the two of them up front unless its a last throw of dice chasing a game.

I agree about about Bjorgolfsonn. He'll be  a handful for defences with his height and physicality and offers us something different. I read somewhere that he's not a 30 yard screamer type of striker but rather one who can make space and lay the ball off for others but is also dangerous in and about the goal area and knows where the net is. I suspect his assist yesterday for Fadinger will be typical of his style.

Agree too about young McColm. Great to see another youngster get his chance and he was very lively and comfortable when he came on.

Does anyone know the correct match attendance today? Announcer at game said 7,200 but BBC says 6,243. A bit of a difference.

Keep up, the beeb never get their facts right, sport or news. It's written on yer tv licence for all to see, if anyone actually has one now adays.

It was announced as 7,200 odd at the game 500 killie fans.

We thoroughly deserved our win yesterday and I enjoyed it apart from the first 20 minutes or so when we were caught a bit cold by Killie's tactics. Over the piece though we played some lovely football and scored well worked goals.

Our leading cushion allowed JBA to practice more rotation and bring on Thor, Luca Ross and young Rocco McColm, none of whom disappointed. Very early days but Thor looks as if he'll fit well into our system. A real team performance but I thought that Just, Sparrow and Fadinger and Priestman stood out just a little bit more.  The latter was my MOTM for his constant movement and making himself available.  Whilst individuals are important of course its really good to see a successful system in which rotation makes minimal difference. In past seasons if one or two star players were injured, the whole system was compromised.

The one down side for me was Killie's style. Outwith our control of course, but it left a bad taste. Going out to deliberately injure opponents is not for me. I can just about thole Alexanderball and Kettleball but McCannball is not for me. That and extreme pettiness reflects badly on them. One example of that was when there were 2 balls on the pitch and the ref allowed us to take a quick free kick; the Killie player could easily have tapped the redundant ball out of play but instead chose to kick it into the middle of the action area causing play to stop.  That and a total unwillingness to retreat 10 yards at free kicks. Thats down to weak refereeing and questionable management from Neil McCann. All that shouldn't detract from a good performance, big win and large home crowd.

Its great to be a Dosser these days.

100% agree with all of this.

Especially McCann.

I know they are in a relegation dogfight, but they were leaving the boot, shoulder and anything else they could land on our players all game.

The fact Walsh let so much of it go is quite ironic when you see tge 2 yellow cards Lowery got. He was far from the worst offender.

Pleasing to see us get the better of that kind of football, just as we have just about everything else that has been tried to stop us this season.

If we  hadnt thrown away so many points before clean sheets became a thing, we would undoubtedly be in a title race.

For now though, Europe and a good Cup run beckons.

Its quite fun now when the opposition go down to 10 men.

Before we'd not make the most of it and struggle, but now its pretty much game over for them. We just pop them off the park.

73% possession yesterday.
