They had two efforts on goal and scored with both. One being an absolute gift. By any measure of all statistics today we didnt deserve to lose even as below par as we were. They scored twice, had the ball in the net but fortunately for us it was offside. They also rattled the underside of the bar. So obviously they deserved the win.

I read it as they deserved. to win because they came into the game with a plan and left with three points. So well played Dundee. It was up to us to break them down and we just couldn’t do it today. Another day we might have.

We like all the teams outside of the bigot brothers have only two cups we can win. So would I swap our season for St Mirren. You better believe I would. Silverware is permanent , form and league status are transient.

Because you can go through your whole life and see your team winning nothing of note. St Mirren supporters will remember winning the cup for the whole of their life. Just like those who saw us winning in 1991.

Dundee didn't deserve to win today.

Prestwickwell
We were miles off it today unfortunately Bringing on the big man at half time was the right shout, but uv got to give him something to attack in the box just a bad day at the office in a great season Might be in the minority but I wouldn’t swap St Mirrens cup for the entertainment we’ve produced this season

Our aim is to make sure we finish 4th. 2nd defeat in 20 games . Rewind 13 months and we were at end of Kettlewell reign. Shows you how far we have progressed since then. True . Wise words We came a long way . But others have won cups and thus made legends . If we even keep a 3rd of squad together we should make top 6 next year and chance of cup semi final

Thats a shocker for Aberdeen though, to have the 3rd biggest wages bill in Scotland and getting thumped by a championship team is not acceptable. That meant winning at Celtic Park, Tynecastle , Ibrox , Easter Road and Celtic and Hearts at Fir Park , In no world was that EVER going to happen.

Its just unrealistic and not going to happen.
FirParkCornerExile
We need to be up for it to keep Hibs at bay. They play Livingston while we play Celtic so we are realistically going into a head to head with Hibs with only 4 points between us.

Crowds haven't gone up this season because we won the cup in 1991. The hope is, if we carry on down this path, success will follow. If someone said we'd have a better chance of winning a cup were Robinson to return, with his footballing philosophy in tow, I'd say, no thanks. I realise some would roll out the welcome mat.

That is why its so infuriating when we fuck up when a tournament opens up for us. Rangers and Celtic will never both be as bad in the same season for many years to come. So therefore Id bite your hand off for just one more success before I die and if that trade off if eye bleeding shite for a season I'd take it. That is not to say I don't support and enjoy what were are doing . The question of "what would you take .a great season or relegation and a cup win.." was always a hypothetical , its never an offer that will ever be presented to us. Yeah, as you say, the idea of a trade-off is purely hypothetical. I get why folk are pissed off about the cup exits, but I'm not gonnae let them waste what has - for me - been an amazing season. Today was another absolute pisser, but nothing's over until it's over, so bring on next week.
The African
We will now learn a bit more about the character of this squad with regard to how they react to this setback. They have been nothing short of magnificent this season and I have faith that they can collectively bounce back and produce the form they have shown for the past few months. Keep the faith and continue to learn and improve, one game at a time.
