That leaves us needing :- - 2 CBS, LB, 2 AMF, LW, St (Play across front 3 type) No Just?

Kmcalpin
We, and I include myself here, have forgotten that Ewan Wilson is also under contract for another year.
texanwellfan
Keep in mind, as noted by a previous post, that there are added requirements for our squad if we get into Europe.

Happyhonest
If we can get Europe then amazing but I don’t think we have the finances to look to bring in players to be our European team. Need to get replacement for Welsh as mcginn and sod while great at centre back are no spring chickens. I can see us maybe loaning the other Celtic centre back murray who seemed decent Afraid we will likely lose JT. I think we have made him a promise from the jan window that if an offer comes in then he can go. likely in my opinion to also lose one of just and watt. So maybe a transfer kitty of AT LEAST 6 million between the sale of jt and either watt or just. Please not Fad as I really think he is instrumental in what we do. That being said I would like to see more development of our youth teams and bring them through. Lennon was the blueprint. Exciting times ahead. Kmcalpin
I'd like to start by signing up Olly Whyte for an extended term. News has been very scant on that front so far. Could we blood him before the end of the season as Stenhousemuir's season ends before ours?

As always, we can't force anyone to sign if they don't want to.

wellsince75
Putting my claret and amber goggles to the side for a moment I think we'll be quite attractive to players trying to make their way in the game and who enjoy our brand of football. JT and AP will almost certainly leave and perhaps Just, Watt if the right kind of offer comes in but I can't help but think we're a much more attractive club than in years gone by. From homegrown talent Miller to the several players aforementioned whose stock is higher now than at start of the season Im optimistic we can bring in quality (assuming Jens stays) The prospect of free flowing football + potential Europe and everything else that brings will attract suiters. Starting with Welsh - again optimistic that he'd sign up . Also suspect Slattery will extend his time with us.

Yes but he could look at the long term and remember how many prospects have left us too soon instead of learning their trade with regular first team football. Too numerous to mention those who have left early and disappeared into the footballing back waters. I wouldn't know if he is any good as like most of us never seen him play. I have 100% confident that our current board is on top of things when it comes to trying to secure our young prospects. I'm in 100% agreement about the many examples that have left too soon. I have close to 0% confidence that a youngster getting bad advice from agents and family will be smart enough to ignore it.

Yes. Agents will be very alive to us and we should have plenty of players knocking on our door.

Also, Whyte 's contract expires shorlty and there's no guarantee he'll re-sign. At 24, would our squad size be slightly light? I think Olly Whyte will sign a new 1 year deal and will be around the first team. Maswanhise is going to be sold realistically and I don't see us turning down offers of £3M for Just which he could very easlily attract given his form. You can have Just or Watt for £5M - the other one stays.
thewelllfan
I think we've spoke enough about who could leave, I had a look through the OOC contract list from other teams in the league and the championship a couple of players I'd like us to look at. GK - McCracken (If Ward leaves) CB - Mayo, Astley, Chilokoa-Mullen LB - Tanser CM - Rice, Stanway, Watson, D. Tait, McMaster St - Mandron, Muirhead, John - Jules

I've maintained all season that Just is the 1 we'll struggle to replace most in the playing squad he's our best player and one of the best I've watched live at Fir Park. I like Watt and TJ but they will be easier to replace than Just. I'd also quite happily sell Watt at anything over 2/2.5M should an offer like that come in even if we'd already lost the other 2.
