Hard to see us winning this one with the form we are in currently but Hearts have also struggled at home against poorer opposition than us. Id happily take a point. Not so sure we will get it though, unless the officials decide to throw us an unlikely bone!

Maybe time to give Jordan McGhee a start at right back. SOD has had a good season but his best position is undoubtedly now at CB. Maybe needs rotating with Paul McGinn. Hopefully Priestman will get a start over Sparrow, who I think is a squad player at best. Lets hope Thor is fit and JT is moved back to his favoured position on the wing. Maybe too, Elijah Just will have recovered from his global jaunts.

More of the same won't do.

I like Priestman, but I dont think he can play the Slattery role. He could however play the Fadinger role and maybe push Lukas forward?

Another option would be Nicholson, who I thought looked sharp yesterday when he came on. Similarly, McGhee looked very comfortable at right back yesterday.

Good to have some options. We should use them to keep the squad fresh and give the opposition a different question to answer.

Id be interested to find out what the issue was with Eythor as he was definitely in the training pics during the week. I know folk have their doubts about his quality, but big Henderson was getting away with murder yesterday and needed bodied!

I think Nicholson is the most similar to Slattery but probably only good for 45 mins or an hour. I’d be tempted to play Oscar and push Fadinger or Watt forward a bit and bring Nicholson on for secomd half or last 30 mins.
We’ve been playing JT as striker and I don’t think that’s working. Perhaps play more like we did against Celtic at Fir park or else Said to bench and Thor at striker with JT playing off him.

We’ve been garbage for the past four games and shat the bed in both cups, so I can’t see us bucking that trend against the league leaders away from home.

1-4.

Garbage is what we watched last season, ok we’ve been poor the last couple of games - mainly due to not adapting to teams pushing up on us and some slack passing - but garbage? Think you need to get a bit of perspective mate.

In the context of how good we’ve been in the league this season, one point from the last 12 is garbage.

You can't really expect us to keep up the ultra high standards all season, all teams go thru a bit of a slump this seems to be ours starting with the cup exit and hopefully ending next week. Hearts are on a bit of a downward spiral as well now. It's a long season you know and not over til the last game.

I think this is going to be a very tough game and we really need to get back to doing what we were good at. If big Thor fit it would be great as Maswanhise looks like a guy thinking of his next transfer.

Below are just my own views and probably won't have anyone agreeing but still an improvement than trying to tell jokes. 🤪

1) as most know I was very critical of Ward at start of season but to be honest was quick to hold my hand up and acknowledge the improvement.  However last game it was back to the crazy short passes out and were plenty warnings before that stupid 2nd goal which he was partly at fault for but Watt the main instigator. Also way off his line and almost caught out by Miller but it was a great save to be fair.

2) Watt another that seems to be believing the hype about him. Almost a billy big baws attitude with the one extra fancy touch, the world cup pass and haaland style celebrations.  He needs to get back doing what he was good at and keeping it simple and retaining possession

I do have fears about last 6 games but no reason why we cant bounce back and also hopefully have decent officials.
