Their "reaction" to this riot, the banning outspoken journalists and the dreadful refereeing decisions this season show the state of our game is, as the Yanks say, SNAFU. It’s a real balance of people who are quite positive and people who expect and predict we are beaten in every single game. I know all about the ancell babes and I can still rhyme off the 1951 league cup winners and 1952 Scottish cup winning teams by heart as it was drummed into me as a kid but my earliest memories are the late 70s so I missed the boat watching the ancell team unfortunately.
