  1. It's definitely still on but for it to happen we need to win 3 or 4 of our next 4 games and we've only won 7 all season. So it unlikely, add to that that it would be so typically Motherwell to beat Rangers and lose to the worst Aberdeen team you will ever see. Aberdeen were utterly shocking tonight and if we have anything about us on Saturday we should be able to beat them. However all my Motherwell supporting life the one this we consistently can't do is deal with rising expectations in the stands. That said it would make for some real excitement in the stands for a change if we took it right down to the Hibs game. I still says the odds are against us.
  2. I never doubted him , I just didn't join the Wikipedia fed "he's shite" before I saw him play. Same with Jack Vale both have turned out better than I could have hoped for. I don't know if these sites are anywhere near accurate if they are we have work to do on his current wages never mind extending his contract. https://salarysport.com/football/scottish-premiership/motherwell/
  3. Probably also much needed resource when Vale goes back down south in the summer. It's a bit worrying none of our fans have been on saying he's shite
  4. I'd love us to get Vale on an extended loan for next season but like Bair others will be watching.
  5. Fans basically know fuck all about football. Supporting a team is 95% emotion 5% rational constructive thought. Wherever there is emotion there is irrational thought . It was the same when Vale signed, fans couldn't wait to put his Wiki stats up and moan like fuck that he was useless.
  6. Just for a bit of fun. If we took 9 points from the next 4 games , beating Dundee and Hibs in those 4 games we'd be on 41 points 13/3 Dundee V Aberdeen. Aberdeen win .. Dundee on 33 points Ross County v Hibs .. Draw - Hibs on 35 points 16/03 Hibs v Livingston .. Hibs win, Hibs on 38 points Motherwell v Aberdeen , Motherwell win , Motherwell on 35 points 17/03 Dundee v Rangers .. Rangers Win , Dundee on 33 points 30/03 Rangers v Hibs .. Rangers win , Hibs on 38 points St Johnstone v Dundee , Dundee win , Dundee on 36 points Motherwell v St Mirren , St Mirren win, Motherwell on 35 points 06/04 Dundee V Motherwell , Motherwell win Motherwell on 38 points Hibs v St Johnstone , Hibs win , Hibs on 41 points 13/04 Aberdeen v Dundee, Dundee win, Dundee on 39 points Motherwell v Hibs, Motherwell win, Motherwell on 41 points That would see Motherwell and Hibs finish on 41 points. 6th place would go down to goal difference. However predicting Hibs drop two points RC and Aberdeen win at Dens Park is probably being over optimistic. Of course if we won all four, which borders on the impossible, 6th place would almost certainly be ours. I think Hibs will get it when all said and done.
  7. If Aberdeen draw or beat Dundee and Ross County beat or draw with Hibs in midweek a top six place then becomes in our own hands but realistically we need to beats Hibs and Dundee and one of Aberdeen or St Mirren to end up in the top 6. For me it's still an outside bet but the fact we've put ourselves in that position is pretty incredible.
  8. Ah I don't feel so bad , I thought he had scored with the penalty he won. Don't feel quite so doo lally , I knew he was in it somewhere.
  9. i could have sworn micky weir scored in that game.. The curse of advancing years ...
  10. To anyone who is 35 , enjoy that win because if we go the same distance again you will be 62 like me before it happens again. That's how incredible that result was today. If someone had told me the day Owen Coyle and Mickey Weir scored to beat them 2-0 I'd be 62 before it happened again I'd have ordered a straight jacket for them. Better Motherwell teams than this one haven't sniffed a win at Ibrox so everyone at the club should saviour every minute . I know the fans will.
  11. There was a time where we went 4/ 5 seasons and Celtic only beat us 3 times.
  12. On their current form I still think it's a possibility😁😁 St Mirren never had an effort on their goal until their penalty in the 95th minute then they lose another a minute later, they are seriously shite.
  13. Unbelievably if we could beat Aberdeen we'd go 8 points clear of them.
  14. Oh remember it well. Packy Bonnars first game for Celtic and dropped the ball for a last minute McLair winner.
  15. It's been a real irritant for me. I'm from a generation where we used to give the OF a real hard time. They hated playing us but the last 21 years have been depressing in the extreme against them. Thankfully that monkey being removed will lead to better times against the OF.
  16. Football really is the craziest game to support. This time last week many of us would be in the depths of despair having fucked up against Celtic .. again and the thought of our season collapsing against Livingston and a likely hammering against Rangers. I did say before the Livi game that it would be a season defining game but little did I think we'd all be feeling like this exactly one week after that Celtic game. Football supporting is a bloody rollercoaster.
  17. They sure did and with the run of fixtures coming up we've given ourselves a real chance of a top 6 place which sounds crazy the way most of us have felt this season. However to make that happen we need four really big performances.
  18. 100% correct, or a game against some European cunt no ones ever heard of or could even spell.
  19. My Birthday too couldn't have A better present.
  20. No better results than putting one over the old firm on their own patch. Sadly I was a young man the last time it happened but at least it happened again before I croak it.
  21. Didnt know how the game went couldn't bring myself to watch but frankly I don't give a fuck, the hoodoo is buried and every result bar the Hibs result went for us. What a great birthday present.
  22. That's perfectly possible, but I still think the turnout reflects badly on a group within the clubs support no matter how we dress it up care about the club. To not care either way shows a level of indifference that is really at the crux of our problems as a fan owned club and perhaps explains why no matter how successful we are on the pitch our home support never goes north of 4500.
  23. I can't agree your assumption. If people are members they must be more engaged than people who are not just by the sheer action of joining. If they didn't care that wouldn't be members. Before anyone starts I'm not suggesting non members do not care but this discussion is about people people who are members and couldn't be bothered to vote I really find it beyond credible WS members didn't know there was a vote happening.
