Scunnered with this saga already. Media can get fucked, nothing but reptiles, Kettlewell has played a blinder in waving the "poor me" flag, sums him up, zero accountability.

I know it's a bit easier from 3000 miles away, but I don't even bother with the media at times like this. The days when they reported news rather than looked for clicks has long gone.

If family members hearing some abuse that their partner/parent gets when their decisions/indecision cause distress to people who give a fuck about what’s happening is what it takes for a manager to resign, I hope some of my managers bring their family to work and let them mingle with some of the folk I work with.

Given that fan conduct is a hot topic this week, you'd think that at least one outlet would question Celtic fans proudly singing IRA songs in a City which was the location of a high-profile terrorist incident.

Not a peep though 🤷‍♂️

No doubt someone will ask Brendan Rodgers his opinion on Kettlewell’s ‘treatment’ in the pre-match press conference….while conveniently forgetting that Celtic fans were singing songs about him being shot dead by the IRA when the left the last time.

But like I said we are unfashionable so therefore fair game to the media.

Rodgers is a scumbag of the highest order , well suited to that rancid shower .

Has any of this barage of online abuse been provided as evidence. ?

Don't think anyone's official statements specified whether it was online or otherwise, did they?

I'm calling bullshit on that.

It could be 100% true. The problem is that when you're a football manager, you're going to take abuse from fans (home or away) whatever club you work for.

I thought Caldwell came across very well in that interview. I think he conveys the shock of the resignation very well and he looks uncomfortable discussing the events running up to and including the resignation.

I still stick to my views that SK time had come as Motherwell manager. However I want to say that I wish him the very best for his future and hope that he can move on and find something new quickly as I suspect he is the type who doesn't do well sitting about the house. Thanks for taking over from the chaos that was Hammell tenure and steadying the ship.

I like and trust Caldwell in his role and I think his interviews are always down to earth and honest.

It mentions his brother and his dad leaving. Not meaning to sound a dick here, but do they not reputedly enjoy a trip to Ibrox?

Hardly a couldron of flowers and candy.

I guess its different when its your own family though.

Well done to our CEO for coming out and sharing what he could with a large degree of empathy.

it’s not overly difficult  to imagine comments and sentiment that would have been shared and overheard by family and loved ones at games .

accept it for what it is, wish SK best in the future and look forward as a club to our next chapter

To be fair to folk on here I haven't really seen much of the online abuse it's folk mostly moaning about the line ups and tactics that's about it really.

The twitter the club official one is a different level of abuse some total rockets on that.

Look this chapter is closed I wish him well the when he took over from Hammell when we had Furlong and Johnston as attacking wing backs and KVV it was truly magical we were really good to watch made you want to go to the football and couldn't wait until next game.

So onto the next chapter onwards and upwards.

I cant understand why , if it was so bad, why SK didn't flag it to Caldwell. All the club would then need to do would be position stewards in the main stand who could eject those involved. When I was at work I used to complain about staff not flagging problems in the workplace until something blew up. Then its a case of trying to get to the bottom of "he said / she said". I told my managers and staff if they wanted something done about issues between staff to flag it up the minute it happens , not 8 months later when someone wants to retrospectively raise a grievance when no bugger knows fuck all about it.

From listening to Caldwell - and I appreciate I'm reading between the lines here - he made it almost sound like a combination of long, intense days, no breaks, poor performances plus the fans abuse has burned him out.

Precisely.

Particularly after the first incident at the Aberdeen game.
