I feel sorry for Callum Hendry as folk are expecting far too much from him. He was never a prolific scorer, more of a Curtis Main type and thats down to a failure of our recruitment department. As there is talk of alot of bad disruptive ones up there, which is causing major problems. We seem to have decent professional pros. Again that's harsh re recruitment, mind guys like fadinger and watt were already here before jba..they're not bad players...I don't hear much talk about nick daws any more since the form has taken an upturn. grizzlyg Posted 1 hour ago Report Share Posted 1 hour ago A big criticism i have of Hendry is he looks laboured at times and there were example yesterday when breaking forward there were about 3 or 4 of our guys ahead of him. 2nd half chance was unlucky but he just looks devoid of confidence. Stama isn't a lone striker and maybe trying them as a partnership could be option but that disrupts our formation. A realistic aim is to get maybe 60-75% right? Overall, our recruitment team has done well this season (Fadinger, Watt, Just, Welsh etc) and credit to them for that. Its just that I don't think Hendry fits our style of football. I wouldn't criticise them over Stama as he was signed for a previous style that we no longer play.
