Orinoco
I think a total refresh up front centrally is in order. Nothing has or looks as if it will click/ed.  Hale for osong would be a good start. Osong whilst its difficult to come on from the bench has shown nothing of note.
Kmcalpin
I'd love a Louis Moult or a Michael Higdon but I'd happily settle for a 12 goal a season striker right now. I feel sorry for Callum Hendry as folk are expecting far too much from him. He was never a prolific scorer, more of a Curtis Main type and thats down to a failure of our recruitment department. As an aside, Hale is not setting the heather on fire in the Highlands this season.
Orinoco
To he fair there is alot wrong at County. Hows his character? As there is talk of alot of bad disruptive ones up there, which is causing major problems. We seem to have decent professional pros. So whoever we sign needs to be obviously good but also a good character who will fit in and hit the ground running.

The striker position is the hardest one to fill, I trust jba and backroom guys to get it right.
grizzlyg
A big criticism i have of Hendry is he looks laboured at times and there were example yesterday when breaking forward there were about 3 or 4 of our guys ahead of him. 2nd half chance was unlucky but he just looks devoid of confidence. Stama isn't a lone striker and maybe trying them as a partnership could be option but that disrupts our formation. I am sure JBA and team fully aware and hopefully can find a gem in January or maybe a good loan deal

A realistic aim is to get maybe 60-75% right? Overall, our recruitment team has done well this season (Fadinger, Watt, Just, Welsh etc) and credit to them for that. Its just that I don't think Hendry fits our style of football. I wouldn't criticise them over Stama as he was signed for a previous style that we no longer play.
grizzlyg
We don't have a good record of signing strikers with Hendry as surname. At least Callum didnt cost £200k like the money McLeish gave to Spurs in the 90's for John, jeez!!

Hopefully the board push the boat out and give JBA the backing to sign one in January. Otherwise, we’ll look back on this season and wonder what might have been. I don't disagree, but I was reading one of those mid-term reports the other day that suggested there were 8 teams in the Premiership that needed to sign a striker in January. So we'll need to be smart to find what we need - especially when you factor in that no team is going to let a productive striker leave them in the middle of the season without a very good reason. I'm not so worried about the "what might have been" as we are still early into the overhaul of our style of play. We have far exceeded my expectations of any rebuild I can remember. texanwellfan
Im pretty sure we are not getting a proven striker but perhaps something along the lines of Beireth, who was talented but was not considered first team material. Or someone who was scoring but now not commanding a first team place. I don’t care if it’s a transfer or a loan, as long as they can come here and score for us.
Stuwell2
I’d love to see us get a big commanding CB who also causes opposition defenders a problem at set pieces - one can but dream
texanwellfan
So what’s our priority? IN goal scorer left back centre back mid fielder (preferably one who can shoot) Out anyone not in JBA plans so we can free up funds to get players JBA wants.
