twistandshout1983
Disappointing afternoon I fancied a draw today , but not to be . If anything a wake up call for next season . Still improvement needed
Orinoco
Don't think we should bother with a man of the match. Nobody gets pass marks today.

grizzlyg
Killie one behind us so big game on Wednesday. Though I would prefer that than being at dens for Dundee v Ross Co, that will be stressful

It'll be us v Killie for 8th place. It was always going to be that way. Wednesday was always going to be an important game in that respect. As for today's result It is what it is. Hopefully it will help Herr Wimmer in assessing his squad for next season. A good start would be to build a new defence. That said, probably only one of them, Casey, would start if we had a full complement of defenders, which we don't. Short term pain long term gain. Ref is a clown. Hearts can kick our players and get away with it. You and I definitely watch different games. At no point today did I think we played the better football. We played virtually no football. Although Hearts were pish they were better than us. I lost count today how many times , when under zero pressure we passed the ball straight to a Hearts player. We picked up no second balls and the less said about our defending the better. We were garbage from first ball to last. I'm afraid if MW thinks he only needs 3 or 4 players he is in for a rude awakening.

Excluding the usual culprits, we played the ball about, especially defence to midfield. Compare this to the hoof ball under Kettlewell. Midfield to attacking areas let us down. Once the 2nd and 3rd goal went in, we were beat and heads went down understandably. I agree we need more than 4 players. The Midfield with Slattery needs addressed. The defence is a shambles. Same players making same mistakes. We do need a squad, but any player we sign going forward should be a starter.
robsterwood
Good that Wimmer sees this poor side for what it is before he extends any more contracts. Need major changes.

dinnae-punt-it
As much as SODs might be nice guy, and the players might like him as a person, the number of important goals he’s cost us over his time with the club is significant. Can’t believe he got another years contract. Hells bells. 2

wellfan
SOD is shite and should be nowhere near the starting eleven next season. The rest of the defence can go and we build around McGinn and Gordon.

I think there was an option on his contract; maybe if he played X amount of games, which he's done due to the amount of injuries we've suffered. He's there to fill in for McGinn who's injured, who both get contracts and we'll rinse and repeat the same again next year. I worry that a few of the signings got a contract for being 'nice guys' rather than footballers who will make the team better.

Still better them than bombscare Casey...
Spit_It_Out
Wimmer might not have any say in extensions but by Christ he has a say in the Tony Watts of the world.I can't believe folk on here saying offer terms why cause he had two decent games this whole season.I have seen folk say offer Thompson terms good god people that's utter mental. There is a reason we are in the position we are Kettlewell and injuries can't be blamed for everything. What's next Callaghan because he has been fantastic on the physio table a real asset to the club.
