mio
This will be a really difficult game, probably the most difficult in this current run of games. Falkirk are a decent side that play good football. Fair play to McGlynn who seems to want to play the JBA way too. its also on the plastic as well so I’d be happy with a draw here and then a win against livi on Saturday. Falkirk are a decent side whose style isn't bad although a tad overhyped. Their most impressive quality right now is the good luck that they're carrying. This season they've received at least one game changing 50/50 decision in their favour in most games. Right now, a draw would be a great result for us. wellfan
It’s not a must-win game, but it’s definitely one we should be looking to win comfortably. 0-2 to the ‘Well.
couttsy
Just went to buy tickets for this and apparently it’s physical tickets only and they can’t be posted now, so somehow need to get to Fir Park during the day before Wed night. Why does Scottish football make going to games so damn difficult at be times, grrrr.

Quite simply we're an unwanted distraction.

Quite simply we're an unwanted distraction. Thats fair enough from their perspective. But they have less than 7k seats. Not sure if they could have thrown up a temporary stand down the far side for this season, but they are certainly missing out on some significant revenue given the size of this seasons away attendances. Cant make this one as I have a family event, but I agree it will be a tough game. Be nice to keep our 100% league record on plastic this season, but Id be happy with another point on the road at a difficult venue to keep the gap between the 2 clubs. Kmcalpin
Fair comment. I think their stadium capacity is around 7,600, which they could probably just about fill with their own fans alone, at least temporarily, whilst they're on a good run. Away fans are taking up seats their own fans would use and yes, thats an unwanted irritation. Thats how they view the situation.

Not sure how that works unless they were allowed standing supporters in the lower leagues? I think they have 6k season ticket holders so not a lot of space for away fans. No worse than Hibs or Hearts do though.

I'd guess they allocate about 600-700 seats to away fans.
weeyin
As always, it will be interesting to see how the newly promoted clubs fare in the second round of fixtures after managers have sussed them out. Some will continue to progress and make a claim for staying up. Others will get found out and slide back towards the bottom end of the table. We're in a strange position at the moment. On one hand, I genuinely don't fear playing any team right now, home or away. On the other hand, I know we aren't good enough yet at killing teams off, so games can be very tight. I was listening to the BBC Scotland Football Podcast during the week, and one of the presenters was saying a Falkirk player told him the first half against us at Fir Park was the most difficult he had ever played in - couldn't get near the ball or the players. More of the same, but for two halves, will do nicely. As plastic goes, it's probably the best of the bunch and the home team needs it to be slick for their style of play - so hopefully they won't be trying to make it slow and sticky for this one. Still want it kicked out of the game, though, On a side note, I read about Norwegian Women's player that failed a drug test, and they figured out it the banned substance had transferred to them from the breakdown of rubber crumb on a plastic pitch. Even worse, the substance is banned in Norway and the EU, but is believed to exist in many of the pitches used in the UK.

That is weird. 7937 capacity. 6935 seats. Where are fans standing when the seats are all full? Do they have a safe standing area? Im curious now! 😆😆😆

grizzlyg
Wonder if JBA will freshen things up, I would bring priestman in for Slattery and wonder if Longelo might start on bench. Plenty options available. Be good to win after previous encounter where we totally blew it 2nd half. COYW
