If we win the game in hand v Dundee we go seven points behind Hearts. Beat them twice takes us to one behind. If they win all their other games and we win all our other games, they beat us by one point (my calculations may also be wrong) Crazy to think we could win the next 12 games, having lost only 3 games the ENTIRE season and still not win the league. It will not work out like this of course. Hearts will not win all their other games. 😛

johnstone
We missed Fadinger today. That’s the first time in a while a team has had a good bit of joy in the midfield against us. positives were Longelo looking really positive going forward and also our subs looked excellent, they combined really well to help us over the line Going to be tough in Pittodrie but I think today will give the team lots of confidence going into the cup tie. As for the league, we are in the mix, no doubt about it. Win our game in hand and it’s all to play for.

Slattery probably won't make it into the top 3 midfielders of the season which shows the high standards in the middle of the park.

joewarkfanclub
I think its absolutely mind blowing that we are even contemplating it. I thought those days were gone and never coming back. Of course Rangers and Celtic have both made catastrophic management appointments this season and allowed Hearts and ourselves to capitalise, but I certainly couldnt see this coming at the start of the season, and Im probably one of the happiest clappers out there. We are still a fair bit back mind you but if we can win our game in hand and secure a few more good results (particularly away from home) before the split, I think we can still be in touch going into the split where it will be all to play for. texanwellfan
Usually Celtic have won it or are only need of a couple of points to win it at the split. So perhaps this year we’ll go into the split where 4 teams actually have a chance to win it.
star sail
We have Celtic away and Hearts away before the split. Is that a mountain to climb or an opportunity? Many would call it a mountain. JBA would call it an opportunity.
Big Wispy Flossy
My memory may be playing tricks on me but weren’t we still in with a title chance in March / April 1995

My memory was being disappointed by the attendance for what seemed like a very important game. It was a very flat performance that I think we lost 1-0. Rangers were at Hibs and also lost but it effectively ending the title challenge. I am not sure if that was the same season.

Sure it was the same season, lost something like 4 of last 6 games to fall away Edited 38 minutes ago by Big Wispy Flossy

Rangers collapsed at the end and we finished 4 points behind them in 3rd. We finished 2nd under McLeish the following year, but we were miles behind Rangers. I don't think we were ever really in with a realistic chance that season.
