Anyone who has any success is immediately linked to one of the Uglies. The only quotes you will see, if any, is some ex-player saying it's a good idea, and they will frame a headline as "JBA to Celtic" The entire Scottish media had Lennon Miller heading to Glasgow every day for the second half of last season. We will see where we are once post split fixtures start HOME. Dundee Utd AWAY. Dundee AWAY. Celtic HOME. Hibs HOME. Falkirk AWAY. Unfortunately, the first phase fixtures are based on guessing who will be in the top 6, and there is no way they predicted ourselves and Falkirk would be there. Add to that the finagling they will need to do to try and prevent cries of bias amongst the title challengers, and we could easil end up with 18 again. We have (will have) played: Rangers, Falkirk, Hibs, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen & Dundee Utd at home times two, (12 games) and, Dundee, Celtic, Hearts, Livingstone & St. Mirren once (5 games) = 17 home, 16 away. The team that will be complaining will be Rangers as they will need to have 3 away games to ensure a 19/19 split..... to mirror Celtic and avoid meltdown in the east end of Glasgow.. Given the current top 6 standings Rangers are due 3 post split games at Ibrox which would mean 20/18 split in their favour.. So I gather their fixture at home to Falkirk will be switched. Based on a (non-fact checked) chat with my hearts supporting mate - based on the current top 6 hearts are due 4 away fixtures including Falkirk, so I'd assume that one will change to tynecastle... meaning Falkirk 19/19 and hearts 20/18. If true probably works out nicely for the powers at be... they wont upset the OF on that, nor do Hibs out a home derby. Just hope they dont take the opportunity to shaft us! (Again!) A joint OF conspiracy crusade would sustain me through the summer. For us, I'm hoping we have a home game in the last week of the season so I can come home and see this team in the flesh just once. (I wouldn't go to Rangers or celtic away even if we could win the league there, and tickets would be tricky for the other games. ) For Saturday, Fadinger should be back, and you could see him coming in for any of the midfield 3. I'd hate to see Slattery dropped for inventing cheating, but Priestman would be very unlucky to miss out, and Watt just makes us much better. Other than that, I don't expect much rotation. It should be our best XI after a weeks rest. Utd wont be easy, and I can see them sitting in. We will once again give up a golden opportunity to the opposition in the first 5 mins, then after that hopefully we can settle into our game and be patient.
