His clean sheet record great but just my opinion, we have had better keepers over the years Its the guys in front that gave him the clean sheets some games he never had a save to make. He's just an average keeper in a good team. 1

Was reading an article a couple of weeks ago about the modern game almost completely eliminating the traditional goal scoring centre forward. Which is a huge part of the skillset clubs look for from a goalkeeper nowadays. There's a reason why clubs are sniffing around him. You are obviously huge fan of Ward which i respect, I am not. For me distribution of a ball is not my main priority for a keeper, its catching crosses, saving shots etc. For me he is an average keeper and if we can get a good fee then its great business

Kmcalpin
Ward is a decent keeper in the modern style. No more no less. Undoubtedly he's benefitted from the defence in front of him and our style. However, should he move on I'm sure he could be replaced with someone just as good. I was one of Ward’s biggest critics at the start of the season, but credit where it’s due. He’s not just a keeper benefitting from a good team, he’s a key part of why it’s good. 2

I think he has benefited with the obvious time spent coaching him by the manager to play a totally different game from which he and other keepers are used to . Made a few bad mistakes in the first part of the season ,until he got used to things . Fair play to him he has adapted well. But now lots of teams are playing this way with keeper well up the park. Good shot stopper , no so good at positioning and comming for corners tho. Would be happy to keep him or sell if good offer comes in. Kmcalpin
Talk on P & B that Paul McGinn let slip that Callum Slattery is away at the end of the season. If proved true, that won't surprise anyone. He has his faults, but has been a good player and servant for us, intended or not. I wouldn't usually say this of a good player but I hope he does move on, for his own sake. He's a marked man and needs a fresh start.

He has been a real favourite of mine since he arrived. Such a technically gifted footballer. So glad he got the chance to shine in a team (and with a manager) that he could really flourish with. He has had his difficult times with the injury and obviously with his mum passing, but the fact he has turned it around twice and hit the heights again, speaks a lot for his character. I hope he gets the send off he deserves and wish him well for the future. He has earned it.
weeyin
Always been a big Slatts and will be sorry to see him go. Although we didn't get to see it often, Miller-Spittal-Slattery was a great combo. Who knew we end up with an even better one? I'm assuming he's not off to St Mirren.
