Do you know the club he’s going to, Samsunspor,  Rangers or another?

It’s the Turkish side. Close on £2m I heard. It’s from someone who is usually reliable but you never know. I don’t see anything online about it.

Girdwood Reich seems to be the kind of signing we should be aiming for.

As for Watt, I think we should hold out for more than £1.5m.

For how long ?

So Watt won't play in the European game then as there's been concrete bids for him. We need another 2 in before that game v HB as we're very light on numbers heading into that game by the looks of things

Priestman is our replacement for Watt, i assume? So, while I’d rather have kept Watt he is probably one of the easier replaceable players.

We should be in no rush to sell. Our finances are healthy. The directors promised us we wouldn't sell our best assets at the same time.

Trouble is, once a player is aware of how much more money they can make by moving on, how do we keep them?

Its not always just down to the club. Players agents have all sorts of clauses in their contracts that forces the clubs hand. Look at Shankland.

Do we really think when we signed these players both them and the club seriously thought there would be possible multi million pound bids for them. I would think probably the oppisite, that's why CLUB has an option for another year on their contracts. All these players came from relative obscurity and smaller teams why would they even think of a triggering bid to leave when signing up .

Some good experience if his wiki page is to be believed, im glad we are continuing to source players from outwith the usual pool of failed Scottish talent, his tache ( no not his touch) is a bit suspect though.

And, like Elliot Watt, he's part Scottish so a similarly impressive season could see him under consideration for Scotland (if he's willing to switch).

Guy at work says the scum is reporting that we’ve knock back a bid of £1m for Watt. We’ve been hearing that we’ve knocked back bids of £1.7m for him so where do they get their low figure?
Can we now expect them and other Scottish media outlets and pundits to be saying that one of the arse cheeks has offered £1.5m and we should take it?

Scottish newspapers generally have no clue what we are up to these days. Its quite refreshing, even if it is a little frustrating waiting on any real news about our ins & outs......

Somebody makes up a number when posting on twitter.

5 people retweet.

Someone on a fans' fourm reads the tweet and repeats it in post.

Journo copy and pastes number from the post in transfer rumours article.

Somebody quotes the journo in a tweet.

10 people retweet.

Another fan posts details on the tweet in a different forum.

Different journo posts number from "multiple sources"

And that, is how internet "facts' are created.

JWFC, totally agree mate.

weeyin, normally I’d agree with you also but even by their lazy/low journalism standards, for them to pick the low figure - one that I’ve not seen mentioned - for a player who is widely regarded to have been one of the best midfielders in the league last season is strange.

Maybe the source likes succulent lamb and his benefactor has a vested interest in keeping the price down! 😍😍😍

Not sure what any possible buyers might offer the player in wages. Do they adopt the approach of low ball transfer fee knowing that the salary offer to the player/agent will be enough for them to become unsettled and then he doesn’t want to play for us so we take the low ball offer?

Moorman is a bit of a unit

Whit, they’re eating your dinner? I know we don’t pay a lot but ffs I’d have thought it would be enough for them to feed themselves.
