Kmcalpin
Persistent rumours on the P & B Ayr thread that they want Olly Whyte on loan. IF that is the the case then we'd need to bring in another central midfielder.

I may have inadvertently started this rumour with my Ayr United friends a few weeks ago before it was clear that there was a good chance Olly could be a first team player fornus this season. If we did let him go, it would be a step upnfor him from last season. But Im no longer certain he needs it, and Im not sure we would let him go now.

Yes, I think he can contribute to the first team this season and I doubt if we'd let him go and certainly not without another midfielder arriving. I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion, but that strip is far too Hearts / 2nd tier South American style for me. It's also a pointless colour scheme to avoid clashes, Stick to the white with some variation on the claret/amber trim.

Roma ladies away strip would be better.. 1

Personally Id have every Motherwell away top as white with claret & amber trim, but kit manufacturers are never gonna run with that as it would clearly effect sales. I already have one of those above with no sponsor and we have flirted with those colours a couple times since. (Vertical stripes / champagne versions). I do take the point with the colour clash though. Not sure what we do against Aberdeen / Hearts and Dundee United. Unless we wear the 140th kit? MJC
I like the away jersey but it would be better with the white shorts from the home kit and vice-versa. I do agree that it’s pointless as a ‘change’ kit because the sides we would normally change against we can’t really wear it. I would expect us to wear our first kit away against Aberdeen and Hearts but I’ve seen us wear our claret away kits against Dundee Utd in the past. We do have the option of the anniversary kit though.
