We can’t finish sixth, so top 5 is assured.

In theory we could but thats extremely unlikely. For that to happen, Falkirk would need to win their 3 remaining games; we'd need to lose all 3 heavily; and Hibs would need to rack up large wins over us and Sevco.

Its not going to happen.

Correct, if Hibs lose 1-0 to Falkirk then 2 3-0 wins for them and two 3-0 defeats for us takes it to goals scored.

Be interesting to see what happens today. Doubt there's any 'right' result for us (though the Ibrox meltdown, should they lose, would be highly entertaining). The pressure will be on Hearts next week, whatever happens. A kicking match where they pick up a red card or two and some key game-out injuries would suit us fine, right enough.

Yep! Result has no direct effect on where we will finish.
indirectly it Might affect either teams attitude in the last three games or injury/discipline might cause player to loss games

We are stumbling towards the finishing line, and I'm not overly bothered how we get there. It would be satisfying to do it under our own steam but I'd be equally happy if Hibs hibs it for us. That said, it would be great to get a point or three in front of our own fans.

A draw between Falkirk and Hibs means Falkirk can't catch us and leaves Hibs 5 behind us. I expect us to lose to Hearts so Hibs face Rangers and we face Celtic with Hibs 5 behind us. If as expected we both lose to the OF we are 5 points ahead of Hibs in the head to head with 4th in the bag. I don't want to go to easter road having to get something.

Falkirk are 8 points behind us if they win their last 3 and we lose our last 3 they are one point ahead of us, why the talk of big scorelines. Am I missing something? Very unlikely but mathematically possible.

The point was if we could finish 6th.  If Falkirk get 9 points, Hibs can only get six.  We have a better goal difference than Hibs but big score lines allow them to go above us.  Hibs beating us 3-0 is a swing of 6.

Hearts need to come for the win and we shall pick them off easily.

Even very worst we are going to get is a point but I suspect we shall beat them to add some spice to the league title race.

They needed to win at Tynecastle and they did. They ain't that great but they get results when it matters so afraid I'd disagree on this one.

They are no brilliant but have momentum and grind out these win. Thats a title winning requirement. We were the better team and on top at Tynecastle until they got a dodgy penalty. I'm sure their luck has to run out at some point.
