His wiki page is interesting reading, a convicted tax dodger, 11 clubs all lower or non league. Same as his playing career and Hibs want him as manager, fun times ahead in Leith if he gets the gig i think.

joewarkfanclub
I know Aberdeen pumped us on Tuesday night, but they still sit below us in the league, and its hard not to feel that they and Hibs are the gift that keeps on giving. Both of them should be miles ahead of us on the pitch but they both seem to keep finding new ways to self harm. Long may it continue, and lets hope Tuesday was indeed a "Speedbump" and we can get back to winning ways asap.

grizzlyg
Far far too early for us to be anywhere near thinking that. I feel we have a good squad but AJ needs to work out his best line-up and drop the underperformers. Robinson was under pressure and has had a massive week. Hearts manager was being questioned early on and is improving things. All fans forums probably same as ours. Win a game and we are all smiling, lose and its a crisis.

wellsince75
Let me be clear from the start — this isn't a call for Alfred Johansson's head. But the concerns around this Motherwell side are real, and they're growing. Performances matter, and right now we are regressing. Several of our recent games haven't just been slip-ups — they've been dreadful. That's not a bump in the road, that's a pattern. We' have decent quality in this squad. Given that, the manager needs to take a good, hard look in the mirror. I get that this is a huge overhaul and these things take time. But the regression is clear, and right now it isn't obvious that Johansson has the answer. He'll get time — nobody's calling for him to go. This is just stating the obvious: something has to change, and soon. Fans won't keep turning up for this. It was never only about winning — it's about being entertained. Unless we see a real improvement in performances, the good work from last season is going to be undone. The basics of how this team is set up need serious attention.
grizzlyg
I couldn't get ticket for early October for the night at fir park where AJ meets the supporters. Jeez be a cracking atmosphere at that night now. Maybe i should go on as the warm up act and take the heat off AJ 🤣🤣

You know how this forum works, 7 games into a 38 game season we are on a bad run last 3 games, 4 points off 3rd and the manager and team are being questioned 🤦♂️ Every team will have a bad spell, we did last season and it worked out ok. The board will give AJ time and i have no doubt he will get it right and we will start winning again.

Unless we see a real improvement in performances, the good work from last season is going to be undone. The basics of how this team is set up need serious attention. This is where I'm at. I too have concerns but no more than that, at this stage. We should have expected performances to improve, even if only slightly, as the new players settle in and the manager gets his ideas across. We've spent a fair bit of cash (for us) on new blood but they're not performing so far; certainly as a team. What is concerning though is that decent players like Fadinger, Longelo and TJ have regressed - why? WE now have a 3 week international break for AJ to get his ideas across on the training pitch. He's now got to earn his corn. He didn't make any changes to the back line or defensive midfield today and that was a bold decision. It clearly did not work. Fans are fickle and starting to lose patience and we risk undoing a lot of the progress we made last season if we are not careful.
purestate
It seems AJ has had the ‘misfortune’ of having a far better than expected start to his time. Most of the signings also appeared to have hit the ground running and be exciting prospects. A number of us, optimistically as it turns out, expected us to just get stronger push on further. On reflection if you’d told me before a ball was kicked that we’d get through two rounds comfortably and lose to top German team then after 7 league games have 8 pts - 2pts off 4th and 4 above last place I’d have been delighted. I’d therefore consider myself more frustrated than worried because of the last three games. The international break comes at a great time for us to allow a rest and reset and I’m still in the optimistic camp that we will kick on and be challenging for top half rather than looking backwards. Prestwickwell
Anybody that doesn’t think there’s concerns on this Motherwell team is delusional 8th place finish & manager not to last the season was last season a fluke or has the data model got it wrong because there obvious issues with this team

Jonesy
That's him already at the stage in his press conferences of trying to tell me I didn't really see what I've just seen. Alexander and Kettlewell were masters of that one.
numpty
11 minutes ago, Prestwickwell said: was last season a fluke or has the data model got it wrong because there obvious issues with this team A team and a manager that gel as well as ours did last year is always a fluke to some extent. That's why we all knew we just had to enjoy it while it lasted.
grizzlyg
This stage last season no one expected us to finish 4th. I think expectations have went through the roof. Of course the last 2 games especially have been poor and no one can deny that but look across the whole league, every team been up and down. As said elsewhere and by myself previously AJ has not wanted to come in and change things quickly and upset a dressing room. However....we have 11 new players and he has been more than loyal to a few. I think you will see a different AJ once we are back. That is not being delusional, that is just my opinion. I like to be a glass half full guy but I also will criticise when required. COYW

MJC
I’m very much at the same stage as the above posters saying “too early to be thinking about sacking the manager but at the same time getting increasingly concerned about him”. Sometimes you get that gut feeling about something and for me this is one of them.
