As an aside, was speaking to a hibs supporter at my work who said he thought RCC caused them a lot of problems which was interesting to hear. Maybe we don't give him the credit he's due or have higher expectations given his experience/ past with ross county in the league.

I’ve never seen us play in European competition, home or away but have seen us in 3 cup finals. 
(4 if you count the summer Cup 😂)
Need us to get past HJK and Freiburg and then I’d be able to jump over and catch a game in the league stages.

Irrespective of whether it was a penalty or not Boyle should have been carded for simulation. Hibs also like to cheat at corner kicks by placing the ball beyond the arc - for what? To gain a couple of inches.

If it's a couple of inches he's not doing anything wrong. The part of the ball that's touching the ground doesn't have to be inside or touching the line, the ball just has to overhang any part of the line. So in theory the part of the ball touching the ground can be about 4 inches outside the line and still be fine.

I didn't know that. Thanks. I always thought that part of the ball had to touch the arc.

Is it the same with regards to the penalty spot. Always thought the ball had to be on the spot.

This is a recent trend, and it's pretty laughable.

I've lost count of the times the corner taker and the linesman have a discussion about exactly where the ball is placed and then...

... kick doesn't make it past the first man.

I see that Hearts have used Oscar Priestman's yellow card as justification for appealing Stuart Findlay's red card. Going by their past record, I could just imagine the SFA retaining Findlay's red one and upgrading Priestman's yellow.

To be fair Hearts have a valid point, but you could argue the same when priestman was fouled for our penalty, all 3 were probably Dogso's and therefore should have been red cards.

The SFA will take no notice and just carry on as usual, "yes we know we made a James Hunt of it, but we can do what we like so nothing to see here".

Game 1 of the season and the bad referreeing deisions are ramping up, thats football in Scotland.

Its not a red card in the box if there is a genuine attempt to play the ball. Double jeopordy.

For me Mulligan should have been yellow carded but wasnt.

Yellow is probably correct for Oscar.

Findlay? The contact inside the box is probably a yellow as he does try to get the ball, but there is the arm pull, which could tip it towards a red if considered enough to stop Olusanya.

If you are referring to the shambolic refereeing at pittodrie in the league cup game, are you seriously suggesting that Gordons foul inside the centre circle, with two covering Motherwell players and the keeper with the Aberdeen player still with 40 or 50 yards to run to goal was a Dogso, aye ok then.

I was suggesting that if the SFA consider Liam Gordons tackle on the half way line to be a DOGSO, then the chance of Hearts having Findlays red card overturned are slim to nil.

What's worse is that even though some of their decisions had major implications for who ended up winning what (and some of them were just petty/moronic/laughable/whatever), I'm sure the majority of fans would be quite happy for the SFA to wipe the slate clean and tell us what guidance and training for officials they've implemented over the summer to improve the standard and consistency of refereeing this year. But we all know how likely that is to happen.

Given a Celtic player doing a rugby tackle to stop Dundee break away was not carded says it all. 

Thats not a competence issue, its blatant bias and corruption. No other way can it be explained.

Hearts with their statement have now questioned the officials abilities. So i would expect a charge against them for that.

An independent review on how our game is being run is badly needed. Only the clubs collectively can do that.
