At first I thought lower than that but 5800 home fans on midweek game and after all the European expense is very good. I think a lot of neutrals cone to watch us mow

This is hardly definitive but the taxi-driver who took us to the airport a fortnight ago said that he quite often picked him up at FP after training and found him cocky and rather unpleasant. One of JT's comments was, "The manager won't be there next season and neither will I."

By contrast, Paulsen, whom he also picks up quite often,  sounds a great guy, happy to be here and very modest and positive about the club.

I don't really feel Maswhanise  is a team player and his niggling annoys me too: it's going to cost  us one day. It will be interesting to see what Alfred does with this recalcitrant member of the squad. I actually was hoping he'd bog off to Anderlecht and the club could bank a wad for him.

Or perhaps there will be some Turkish delight for us  before their window closes tomorrow.

Nearly 6000 home fans for a midweek game is good going,there would have been a time fairly recently when we would have seen about 4000 there for this type of fixture even on a saturday,to put it into context there was quite a load more motherwell fans at our game last night than what there was in the entirety at rugby park and almost as many for a so called derby game at dens park.

Every accusation is a confession, as they say. I don't complain about some of your weird and wonderful contributions (or about those from  a few others). It's a fan opinion forum so I'll post what I like until the moderator says otherwise, thanks.

Maswanhise's form has nose-dived since about February and I'm not sure his head is really with us. If we had received a reasonable offer before the end of the window, I would have  happily jumped at the money. Perhaps there is a reason why his suitors seem not to be so keen on him. I would have been  more concerned had Longelo left us.

The new squad looks stronger than last season to me and potentially even more exciting  so I'm really looking forward to them gelling  now that the manager  has more coaching time in the international break. If Alfred can work his magic on Maswanhise and restore him to his old  form then that will be fine by me but ultimately  that's up to the player.

Let's wait and see what happens now he's with us until January at least.....

It does all seem a bit performative these days.

I get why the players would do it after a big win, when the crowd has been raucous and we are all celebrating together, or indeed after an unlucky defeat where they have given everything and the fans want to show appreciation.

But doing it after every league game devalues it for me.

And I definitely dont like to see it if the team has put in a stinker. Just get up the tunnel and sort things out in the dressing room.

Yep, felt sad for him as it just wasn't happening.  I reckon if still 1-0 AJ wouldn't have brought him on.  Great man management at the end and I'm sure the players are all helping.  Watch our bench when we score goals, willy always in thick of celebrations

Willy has yet to convince me but I will wait till January or so to make any firm decision on him.  He had his hands on his knees after 10 minutes as if he had run his race.  However, twice he had the ball in the box trying to fashion a shot and big Thor tackled him both times.  A wee goal might change everything for him.
