No idea what that is mate as i dont go in for those kinds of shenanigans , im not even curious to tell you the truth. Something that goes on in the clubhouse i assume ?

I'm certainly not terrified of going down there as there may be a gang of lard assed egg chasers who's idea of fun is putting their ties around their heads in a granny knot , slapping each others thighs as they sing rude songs while generally being "barmy", lighting each others farts in between drinking games - and to top it all these ones will be Welsh ! :P

You shouldn't be afraid - the Welsh rugby crowd I have mixed with are a great mob to have a beer with. Rugby in Wales, however, is a working man's game traditionally played by 8ft coal miners with no teeth. Not some poncey game for public school boys.

If you are stupid enough to start a fight, however, there will be only one winner.

Just trawled thru this madness, and am actually a wee tad glad I can't get the time off work to make it down.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, following Motherwell in europe is a nightmare. If it aint at the back of beyond, we aint getting enough tickets, then there's the I'm a better fan than you brigade appear.

Bottom line is Llanelli have every right to retain the tie at Stebo, and issue us with 100 briefs, and all our bickering won't change that.

I have to ask though ..... do Llanelli expect to attract 3500 locals to the 2nd leg, when their average gate is 10% of that ?

All this mess makes Katowice seem very straighforward.

Best of luck to those who have booked up ........ I hope you get in.

You've obviously never been on a rugby tour to Wales then. As Weeyin correctly points out, there aint no rugby toffs in Wales.

They are a great bunch to socialise with, just don't go arm-wrestling with any of them :P

Spot on Special it's getting embarrassing now, I'd hate to think what any Llanelli fans would think if they read this thread!

I don't give a flying f#ck what people think.

I am disappointed because I have booked flights with many friends that are non-refundable. If anyone on here thinks that that is way off the mark then so be it.

What exactly is my crime????????????

Getting excited that the team I love is in Europe for one of the vary few times in it's history and instead of going to a country 5000 miles away we have/had the chance to watch them in Wales - just down the road.

Let us not forget that they wanted to move the first leg and seemingly have taken the huff that we did not. I make no apologies for finding their behaviour as a football club rather pathetic.

There is NO guarantee we will win the first leg by 3,4 or 5 goals. None whatsoever!

If the game goes ahead as is looking increasingly likely at their home park, then I hope we draw 1-1 in the home leg and they can wave bye bye to several 000 fans and all the income that would accompany that at the return leg.

It is their decision and their prerogative to play at home - that much I agree with, but it does not change my thinking that it is a defeatist and quite frankly pathetic attitude.

there was more but i edited it for reasons of politeness.

seriously, hoping we draw 1-1 against a welsh league team at home, what's that all about? if you want to be petty use your flight down to wales to go and put a dug shite through their letterbox but don't root against the 'well.

I'd say it would be naive in the least if anyone actually thinks thats the reason the tie has not been switched. Llanelli are a small town club and cannot risk hiring out a massive stadium that they will make a loss on. On the flipside Motherwell cant afford to take an uncalculated risk by guaranteeing 2k tickets upfront. The two clubs are meeting tomorrow and i think if after the discussions both clubs are confident enough to think enough fans will travel down to justify using the bigger stadium then thats what will happen. Cant complain if it isnt switched though, i will be upset that i might not get a ticket but i'll understand the reason why.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody seems to be put out by the fact that LLanelli are charging us £5 more than their own fans. Still, maybe its no big deal.

Out of order I'd say, lost between the lines in the ticket furore but most seem not overly concerned, they just want the opportunity to be ripped off and glad to do so. Strange intit?

I would hope that a major part of the neogtiations today would surround this. For all UEFA's stoopid rules you wold think there would be one to stop clubs ripping off travelling fans in such a blatant manner.

This time next week we might be happy to take a 1-1 draw against the Welsh "minnows". Especially if Coach and DC are off.

I would hope that Sutton and A.N. Other can grab a couple of goals but can we garauntee keeping them out at the other end?

No, your crime is bitching about it like a wee schoolwean. Grow up. As I've said before, everyone knew the capacity of the grounds we were maybe going to because the list of teams has been around on this forum for what seems like weeks now. If you book flights and accomodation for a trip knowing the ground only holds 1000, and then complain because you've paid out and you're not guaranteed a ticket, then you sir, are an idiot...

PS Ever occur to you that wanting to play it at their own ground might not be defeatist. Maybe they think they'll have a chance in the second leg, and then why would they want to turn it into an away game with their support outnumbered. Son, if brains were dyanmite, you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose...

Bit harsh imo.

Initial news was we were playing Llanelli, and they would most likely move the tie to the Parc y Scarlets.

Although never official, bearing in mind there might be enough 'well fans going to fill the seated area of there stadium twice over, it seemed a fair assumption!
