I'm just a wee bit scunnered with the negativity...plenty still to play for, some wheeling and dealing to do and games to be played4 points

A largely self-inflicted loss but one that brings a growing sense of annoyance at our governing bodies. I thought the starting eleven deserved another go based on their performance last weekend but it was a worryingly sluggish start, The defending for their goal was really poor but I thought it did spark us to life and if anything we were the better team for much of the remainder of the half with Watt being particularly unfortunate with his effort off the post. I thought we were very unlucky not to have got a penalty too. A positive change from the manager at the interval although I might have been inclined to go with Hastie rather than Long but the task became all the more difficult with Polworth's red. It remains to be seen what was said and it isn't the first time he's shown himself to be unnecessarily argumentative and niggly but what I will say is if that I see games week in, week out where players are snarling at other players and officials without being reprimanded for it. On the back of the messing about with the St Mirren/Killie appeal, Madden's penalty at St Mirren, the offside last week and now this, patience with our esteemed FA is growing somewhat thin. Commendable that Alexander showed ambition to try to rescue the game but at some risk as the repeated saves (some excellent ones at that) from Kelly showed. And all ultimately for nothing with further poor defending for the second. Ultimately a defeat somewhat in keeping with many this season. Far from being outclassed by the opposition but sooner or later shooting ourselves in the foot and suffering for it.3 points

Jeeso man, has lockdown sent some folk a bit mental? Alexander has realistically had two games in charge. He got a great point against Rangers, and today we created more chances in the first 45 than we did in the last 5 or 6 games under Robinson. We've been undone by a moment of absolute stupidity from a player who should know that there are options coming back into midfield, so Alexander doesn't need to tolerate shite like that. He's made what looks like three decent signings so far and we already look like a more cohesive team than we did for most of 2020. I'm definitely feeling more positive after today than I did a fortnight ago.3 points

Starting to believe this current squad aren’t good enough to survive the drop, real lack of desire and ability. SOD is an absolute imposter why is he made out to be some kind of world beater and never dropped, he brings nothing to the table at all.3 points

Polworth is an utter fucking dick. Standing there giggling after being sent off. Prick of the highest order. We need battlers right now, not petulant cunts that can't get over being dropped for David Turnbull two years ago.3 points

Getting sent off for swearing is ridiculous. How often is does that ever happen? About as often as the goalie being penalised for holding onto the ball for more than 6 seconds I’d wager.....2 points

Must win. We cannot continue to not win matches. And if we lose this you can see a full blown collapse in confidence that could lead to a death spiral. We've just got to dig it out somehow. Next two games are massive.2 points
-
I hear you. But bad luck has the same results as poor play. We've gone this far without any sign our luck's gonnae change, so they need to dig themselves out. Get beat on Wednesday and the alarm bells would give Quasimodo a sair heid.2 points

I admire your optimism, and I'm normally glass half full too... but our continual ability to self-destruct in a variety of different but recurring ways has just totally pissed me off, again. The fact that we have never equalised once all season sums it up.2 points

Don’t agree, we were well in it for long periods, another appalling ref decision against us today, it’s becoming a habit. They are a top three team and we more than matched them, we were the better team first half last week against the best team in the league. There is still quality in the squad but again we lose a new player to injury, that’s just bad luck. I would hope with another one or two signings we will be fine.2 points

I've got no faith in this current team, even when we were shite under barraclough with guys like straker hanging about,i wasn't as worried then as i am now, atleast that team had guys like hammell and lasley that would run through a brick wall for the club and mcdonald that had that bit of quality and know how, this mob right now have nothing,we have a guy sent off today and he's then having a giggle,we really are in serious trouble.2 points

Polworth should never play for us again. Exactly the type of player we don't want at this club. Smiling when going off, GTF2 points
-
Totally agree,he's had more chances than he should have and yet here we are again and he's still contributing absolutely nothing, mind graeme souness got duped into signing somebody that had never played football before,I'm sure that's what's happened here as seedorf doesn't even have basic game awareness let alone any talent.2 points

It was truly awful defending for sure. But he’s far from the worst of our issues1 point

well a think ffs ref is ok but if hes called him a" feckin durty cheating wee prick " well maybe he would take offence1 point

Denied a stonewall penalty today right right. I mean, a genuinely scandalous decision that should’ve had everyone in claret and amber going ballistic. The fact that none of our players even looked like claiming for it for me shows a real lack of desire or fight.1 point

I never said they had done a bad job. I just pointed out that most of the financial windfalls that we've profited from recently have been out with the control or any planning that the board could have made...and that we shouldn't get too smug about our current financial situation. And I think there is such a thing as hubris and for some of our supporters to criticise other clubs, particularly since we've survived off loans for a lot of our recent history, is a bit hypocritical. As I said Scottish football is not exactly a money printing machine. I'm not saying it will be the case, but a year or two down the line it's possible that we might need similar assistance, especially as we have no idea how the whole covid situation is going to go and that it's looking like Turnbull might well be our last big sale for a while. With regards to finances and the whole covid situation I think too many of our supporters lack a little bit of foresight and revel too much in 'we're alright Jack' mindset not realising that if you can guarantee one thing in life it's that circumstances are in a constant state of flux and when bad things happen, usually, you didn't see them coming.1 point

We have a realistic chance to take 15 points from now till end of February. This game is the start. We need the 3 points to get morale up and send us in the right direction.1 point

Its understandable that players like Polworth and Seedorf are coming in for some stick, but its time that others like Gallagher, Campbell and O'Donnell stood up to be counted. If they don't want to be here or have had their head turned...................1 point

Getting a semi competent central midfielder in must be surely seen as a priority now, along with another wide midfielder / winger1 point

Nah he won't bother, a poor trolling subject,we will all agree with him that Seedorf is brutal, no fun there.1 point

For the very first time, I am starting to have my doubts. This team should not be in a relegation fight and yet it is and every week we talk about bad luck and poor decision making. Today was a big game, Wednesday is now massive. I am just not sure this team have the wherewithal to get themselves out of this. I don't think ability has ever been the issue. There is something else missing. Determination, guile, intelligence? I don't know but it is the same every week. I was reasonably confident about today. I thought a draw would be likely and that we might just sneak a win. Aberdeen are not a great side. It was the same story again however. No goals and a game changing mistake on our part. I can't see what it going to change it. Polworth reminds me of Vigurs. Full of ability with a very questionable temperament.1 point

3 points against ross county would of course be ideal but this is one of they games that come into the musnt lose catogary.1 point

I didn't think we'd get a point from either game, so we're a point better off than I'd anticipated. Some more winnable games coming up but I'll be happy with a point at Dingwall; three would be better of course.1 point

I think you're being overly hard on us. We are now debt free and that didn't come about by sheer luck. Our business model is to develop our own talent to sell on and showcase under achieving talent from lower leagues down south. That, fan ownership and prudent management has largely got us to where we are off the field.1 point

Of course, then its the only penalty I can recall being awarded there in many many years1 point

Today was always going to be a very difficult game and a 2-0 reverse should not have been unexpected. Still we gained 3 goals on Ross County, who took a thumping. Knowing our luck just now it was maybe too much to expect avoiding a red card. On this season's evidence, Polworth will not be much of a loss this week. Going back decades I can't ever recall us getting any penalties at Pittodrie, so today's decision is entirely in keeping with that. All in all an excellent game for the management team to watch and it will have given them food for thought before the transfer window closes. I reckoned before today's game that we still needed 3 players: a central defender, central midfielder and a winger and nothing that took place during the 90 minutes made me change my mind.1 point

Yep, next two game are big. Ross County got a doing today which is not a bad thing.1 point

Well in the game, aye. Getting beat, unable to equalise and therefore pointless, aye. At what stage of the season should we begin to have slight concerns?1 point
