If he trips up and breaks a leg on his way out Rugby Park, you can put money on it.3 points

If Shields away I wish him well. I don't rate him but some of the abuse the lad took was ridiculous.3 points

@siebsbarmyarmy like you I've been trying to remain optimistic. From the current team I see us having a very decent keeper and decent (not brilliant) attacking options. That leaves a full defence and core midfield that I have little confidence in. In the past when our backs have been against the wall there's always been a quorum that I believed in would see us through. From guys like Leitch, Craggs, Hammel, Lasley, McManus, Faddy, Turnbull, Campbell etc. We don't have anyone like that now (who remain as players) Appreciate this is captain hindsight but the last 4-5 years have been a decline , so much so a large majority of our fans expect relegation.2 points

Crucial to SH chances of staying in his job if we don’t bring in at least 3 and he loses tomorrow night then he has to go2 points

The sad thing is Robinson has put together a better team than us with players most did not rate, Watt will strengthen them again. I would take any of them over what we have now.2 points

This is key, and most relevant to discussion in the present moment. Those saying we should bin off yet another manager this season are mental. Hammell was always going to need this January window at the very minimum, with a proper pre-season and summer to really put his stamp on things. We simply cannot judge the guy after less than six months in the job, especially when it's not even his team yet.2 points

"He lost his job because the club panicked after we lost in Europe" ??? Should that not read "He left his job after we lost in Europe which was the final straw for the Board Members who had supported him despite a terrible record over the previous six months. During which time he showed no ability to turn things around or put a decent product on the pitch" or perhaps "Having witnessed new signing Josh Morris attempting to play football, enough was enough" To state that the Sligo shambles was the only reason for Alexander's departure is just not true. Agreed it was the final straw, but there was already enough evidence to question his position. He was fortunate to still be there. Also, that previous six months record allied to the Sligo performances do little to suggest we would be in a better place now had he stayed. His time was up.2 points

Be interesting to see if he's played through the middle, we didn't play to his strengths, whether that wouldve made a difference I don't really know2 points

Welcome to the club Jack, no pressure but if you haven't scored a goal within 10 mins you will be written off by some folk 🤣🤣1 point

I tend not to pay attention to who scores against us , too much to remember 🙂1 point

Sondre Solholm was as slow as a week in the jail, turning circle of a 747 and peripheral vision of Mr McGoo. Lost us a lot of goals and points . Good we got money for him.1 point

Alan Burrows @Alan_Burrows · 2m Replying to @leadier88 and @MotherwellFC All going well - We’ve got some things to announce my friend (some might come after the window shuts too). Obviously can’t comment on anything until it’s done…1 point

starting to get concerned we have 2 fit cbs and calling Lamie a Defender is kind because hes piss poor at defending we need 4 in the door in 4 hours so ill take a centre half and a striker as priority we need a holding midfielder but thats not looking likely and a Left Back but were skint not exacly confident given our form and league position about the rest of this sason1 point

A few on hear will be eating humble pie when my good friend and CEO in waiting, Bob "Fir" Park, uses his crime syndicate pals to kidnap a LB, CH, CDM and 2 CFs and deliver them to ML1 in the next few hours.1 point

I know what you mean, but I still stand by Stevie Hammell. He was put in an impossible position by the board.1 point
-
Knowing our luck this season he probably injured himself pulling the strip on for the photoshoot of his signing and will be a doubt for tomorrow/out for a couple of weeks/might be available for the playoffs/hardly ever play yet have posters on here in about eight years time dedicating their usernames to him etc, etc1 point
-
please ange just geez fuckin turnbull , we will give u him back in may a better player cause he will be playing every week1 point
-
I know we probably never get our 'number one' target but a concern for me is the number of players we've 'just missed out on' in this window (as indicated by Hammell today). For such a huge window, you would have hoped that the club would have pushed the boat out just a wee bit more...1 point
-
Not usually one of those guys, but I’m now starting to get pretty apprehensive. Think the fact we are leaving it late doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence. Relegation becoming more and more a worry.1 point
-
A minimum of 3 please. We should be addressing central defence (we now have 2 fit players there), a replacement left back (we've known Penney was leaving for some time), and a defensive midfielder (we've all known about this deficiency for months).1 point
-
We've already signed a striker, a winger, a defender and an attacking, goalscoring midfielder - while loaning out Maguire, Shields and punting Sol. I'm not sure how many other changes you were expecting in January, but that's a pretty active window.1 point
-
Agree 100%. We need replacement bodies and fast. The clock is ticking. A good bit of business getting a fee for Sol though.1 point

Given we need a left back, a defensive midfielder and probably now a centre back, is two enough?1 point

I am just going to say this. Alexander is no longer manager whether you agree with that or not. We need to focus on the now. COYW1 point
-
Hmmmm I can see him coming back, tbf if he does and scores a few goals etc and we avoid the bottom 2 places then nobody will care what went on previously. At this stage of the season we need to take a punt as the squad is severely lacking in goal scoring threat, so why not bring Watt back in.1 point
-
Especially when those same people giving him abuse are usually the ones who bang on about "all I want is a player who gives 100% for the shirt" which is exactly what Shields did.1 point
-
I’d take anyone for a few months if they kept us up this season, it’s not a lifelong contract.1 point
-
In his last 6 months with us, Watt played 24 games, scored 10 goals, and had 2 assists. He singlehandedly held that Alexander team together, dragging them all up the park with his hold-up play, and then our form got worse when he left. I'd take him back for the rest of the season.1 point
-
Regardless of who the player is. If we can get a player to help us stay up then has to be a yes. Of course has to be within our budget constraints.1 point
-
That's my preferred shape too as O'Donnell has always been better attacking than defending, would suit Max as well. Would cut down the need for Kelly to punt it aimlessly as we could build from the back instead. The main concern is that central midfield still looks weak as Goss can't tackle.1 point
