Rumours of another 2 coming in on Monday too.

I still think we probably still need another 4

Another Cm, Cb, Bu Gk, and a winger are needed if we want to stake a claim for top 6.

Callahan, Koutrombis, Ebiye, Davor all need sold/loaned out.

Taveres needs sent back to his parent club as does Mair who's broke his finger and out for 6/8 weeks.

We have Robinson and Mcginn out for the season so that's us down to 31 that can be available for selection anyway.

Seddon, Miller, Stam all out for at least another 1-2 months

Ox out for 3 months.

Current crop available for selection

Gk- Balcombe, Connoly

Cb- Balmer, Gordon, Casey, Blaney, SOD

Rwb- Kaleta, SOD, Koutrombis

Lwb- Wilson. Thompson

Cm- Halliday, Andrews, Paton, Sparrow, Slattery, Nicholson, Davor

Fwds- Dickson, Plange, TJ, Watt, Ebiye, Armstrong, Vale (Once suspension finishes)

Those 24 to pick from currently w Vale to add back in. That to me looks weak and forward heavy. Top 6 would be huge for cost off-setting as would getting into Europe. Majority being loans is also ideal as it means we can actually squad build from scratch next season and aren't stuck with players the new manager doesn't want long-term.

Archie Mair loan cut short due to injury. We're looking at Cove's keeper and have made a bid  which was rejected. Matty Connelly obviously not fancied ( so why was he re-signed). I'm expecting some moves  both in and out tomorrow.

The media at it again for clicks...................first thing you see this morning

"WELL ON HIS WAY? Celtic weighing up sensational deadline day swoop for Motherwell won"

Its so cringeworthy, the media up here are toe curling.

Miller will surely have his head screwed on and see how Celtic basically ruined Turnbull and others.

I dont know why anyone with options, would choose any of the Old Firm and the goldfish bowl that they are!!!!!!!!!

Suman is a good keeper would be a quality challenge to Ox next season. If we don't get him now then surely we get him on a PCA although the new manager could change that.

Anyone but septic or rancid rangers. He's better than that.

I don't mind where he goes as long as the price is right and the lad himself is happy with the move.  I assume that we will have a figure a mind and if a club meets that then its over to the lad. My only concern is the timing. I'd be tempted to bump up our asking price a wee bit, if the lad agrees, to compensate. IF true, its a good move by Celtic, as they'll view us as being currently managerless and vulnerable, like a crab temporarily without a shell.

If the club knows of other interest and expects another better bid then I'd hold off, again only if the lad agrees.

Celtic could easily have made a bid some weeks ago.

As per the OF usual modus operandi, they’ll be trying to get him by offering the least amount they think they can get away with. Tell them the asking price starts at £4M cash; no player swaps or instalment crap and that it’s non-negotiable!

100% agree. If they still wanted him they'd offer £4 million and a penny. If our asking price is say £4 then tell them not to bother contacting us again unless they can meet that price, or more if another bid comes in.

If they come in last minute, then this is absolutely what they are doing.

Id take £4m up front plus Luke McCowan though! 😉

Not sure where the £4m price tag for Miller has materialised from, but I think the club should be asking more than this if true, given his talent, age and with 1.5 years left of current contract. Also agree with others that if/when he does eventually depart, would obviously hate to see him end up at either of the bigot bros.

The board needs to hold nerve with Miller no need to shit the bed this transfer window.

Personally we might get a manager that takes him to another level so no point in selling right now.

Spot on he'll be a major boost for us when he's back fit, plus it's never a good idea to sell your best players to rival teams in the same league, especially the ugly sisters.

I hope when he eventually moves on it is down south or Europe as that will benefit his future career.

All good points.

Hopefully Celtic are not the only bidder and the clubs resolve does not require to be put to the test as we AND the player will have better options!

Id love to know what is sensational about it , if its true. They can afford him and its a transfer window , where is the sensation.

There are other factors too. With less time on his contract the price may well decline a bit. Furthermore if we end up Championship bound our desperation for cash will not put us in a strong bargaining position. Id say strike while the irons hot and IMO that is now. Others scenarios are equally possible, just my opinion.

Aye I had to laugh when I seen that, there's nothing sensational about it,it was the same the other day celtic were planning a stunning swoop for a guy that can't get a game for seville that rodgers had at leicester.the media in this country love to go overboard at any mention of the old firm.

I tell you one things for sure we need to spend some of the money we do get and spend it properly on some bits of quality cause that's the difference in this league.

Not just fritter it away on a ton of loans that won't reap us anything we need to invest at least 1 million on a few bits of quality we can make better and sell on.

Once Miller goes we have a huge void so we shall need to spend to progress.

correct the amount of low level shite in our squad is the reason we are so consistently bad.

🤔 How much of a transfer fee do you think is paid up front?

No idea bits and bobs depends on the deal I suppose.

I shall say this Watt from Dundee Utd and Tavares from Hibs to loan deals probably paying full wage season long and they have offered us next to nothing zilch! So taking a wage off rival teams so they can bring in a player when we are taking in players that were known to be below average on the slide really isn't that progressive.

That summer window could be one of the worst I have witnessed tbh something needs to change on the recruitment side of things it needs looked at and freshed up.

When it’s been spelled out for years in club accounts that fees are accrued over the length of contracts….

Aye, well done you for a couple of likes.
