Maybe we should have kept Moult Done well at utd. Would have been good to see him with Bair.

He went back to his own club because he was injured. Yes he's done well at Utd but he had an injury and wouldn't have played for us again that season anyway.

Tam Cowan on radio saying he heard Bair could be off to Bristol City for £750k, if true then that is cracking bit of business but obviously would miss the big man,  will wait and see if any truth in it

I'd rather keep him tbh

So would most of us, but if the club gets an offer of £750K as has been mentioned or maybe even more then he will  be away. That's the way Motherwell operate bring a player in for next to nothing develop him the sell on for a profit and a good sell on clause.

He's worth more than 750. I would keep him. Not many finishers with pace done composure and still young age.

That's a derisory offer

That figure seems a much larger amount to us than to Bristol City. They can afford more than that.

The value of any player is generally determined according to who's selling, not who's buying. They'd pay more if he was with an English club, because they'd have to.

More than that.

Problem is, his worth isn't up to us, the buyers will decide that. If he is willing to sign a new contract, fair enough. Otherwise, the clock is already ticking and selling in January would greatly reduce our chances of finding a decent replacement.

Surely we decide if we want to keep him or let him go. And the price we let him go for.

Yeah, we can decide to keep him, but right now he's a sellable asset, so he can't be allowed to walk for nothing. As it stands, that means we'll have to accept the price someone is willing to pay, either in the summer or next January.

This ties into the investor/WS topic. If we didn’t have to sell to survive we could name our price and either get more money or keep him longer and not worry about missing out on a transfer fee.
So in our current situation you are probably correct in as much that we don’t want to risk loosing out on what is a big chunk of money for us.

I don't agree. Why should we always have to see players as assets we can sell rather than trying to get them to sign a new contract

Miller signed an extension. Why shouldn't Theo

We need to remember he is only on a 2yr contract. I am not looking to sell him but if we get a good offer be wise to cash in.   Reminds me of Connor Sammon at Killie, had 1 good season, derby paid £2 million and he done her haw afterwards

750k is not a good offer in my view

I'm not sure what Miller's decision has to do with Bair's plans. And that extension won't stop him being sold when a decent offer comes in. There's absolutely no chance Lennon Miller will still be here next season unless something goes badly wrong with his career.

In the real world a player is only as valuable as what another team are prepared to pay, no offers no sale and he walks for nothing next summer.
