Thats an unbelievable stat considering we are Motherwell. And it’s unbelievable I hadnt thought about this until today.

After the past few seasons where we struggled to address defensive issues, it has been particularly impressive that the coaching staff managed to identify the problems that continued into the first couple of months of this season, and found a way to resolve them.

To be fair, I'm not sure what percentage of that is "if the opposition don't have the ball, they can't score". Not that I'm complaining about that approach...

We were spewing goals earlier this season and failing to close out games when we were up around 70% possession. 

Keeping the ball helps, but there have been huge improvements in our shape off the ball, decision making in defence and sticking to the plan when we are protecting a lead.
