wellfan
I’d hope, for Stama and the club’s sake, that a deal is struck allowing him to remain in Oz and bring his contract here to an end, as there’s no point in him coming back over here to rot. It would probably be beneficial for both parties though.

Orinoco
Can just see us 5th and big Ox having a blinder to deny Celtic the cup win we need to get into Europe.

That could be a very tricky and awkward position for him to be in. Unfair on the player. It shows the risks with loans.

If we could get say total of £4 million combined for pair of them then its great business and you give JBA half of that to spend I think Maswanhises value will have reduced considerably since January. He's was over hyped in January but equally we don't want to over hype the other way with the drop off. If we got a bid of around £1 / £1.5 million for him Id take it. Sadly I think we will lose one of Watt and Just , possibly even both if the bids were high enough, which would be a real pity. However this gives us a chance to see the managers transfer skills to find players that would fit his style. Thats if he stays of course 😱 1 1

thewelllfan
Glad too see we're not over reacting to Maswanhise's dip in form. I did say I would have sold in January as that was where he was going to peak valuation wise.As I've already said if Hibs are getting 6m for Bowie who had scored 8 goals we have to at least get 4-5M for a guy who's on 17 league goals and 22 in all comps. Hibs probably didn't think they were getting 6m for Bowie. Aberdeen got 6M for Miovski and 4M for Ramsey. We can get 4-5M for Maswanhise. He's 23, plays for his National team, scored 17 in the league. We need to get proper value for our players.

Personally I think he is technically suspect but that is just my personal opinion. I just don't buy the hype. He's a good player but for me he's not a £4/5 million pound player. Sure he's scored goals so did KVV and Theo Bair. "We need to get proper value for our players".... of course we do but we will only get what someone is prepared to pay and for me I just don't see a £4/£5 million pound bid coming for him. The close season will tell who is right you or me.
joewarkfanclub
Not saying we will get £4-5m for Maswanhise, but we certainly wont get his true value if we go into any negotiations with a negative mindset. JT's form might have dropped off a little, but his numbers havent gone down. 22 goals for a guy who isnt an out and out striker is pretty impressive. Also, he has something a lot of other strikers dont have and thats pace. I fancy he will get 1 or 2 more goals before the end of the season, and I trust Brian Caldwell to get the best deal possible for us. Anyone who can get us £1.8m for Theo Bair knows how to negotiate.
