Kmcalpin
So, the clubs are currently in discussions. That means they're probably thrashing out compensation. We'll see what comes of that. If JBA is going to leave, then I'd prefer that he did so now. That gives us time to source a replacement in time for the new season starting. No doubt, the directors have a plan in place for this very eventuality.

Surely they’ve thought we need to sort out a contingency plan. I’d hope that Jens may have played a part in this too and identify managers/coaches of a similar mindset to him. who knows
weeyin
The tweet might be new, but I thought the news about the approach was a few days old.
texanwellfan
I did see stuff about Toulouse being interested in Jens but no mention that they had approached us. As mentioned though, we pretty much knew it would come. Might as well get it sorted out early as possible. Move to Toulouse or commit to Motherwell. However, perhaps he wants better offer than Toulouse and decide to stay here one more season. I know, ever the optimist! I hope the board might go above and beyond normal to keep Jens here 1 more season to give it our best shot in Europe. We only have 9 weeks till our first leg tie. Either way, as long as he doesn’t go to another Scottish club I can handle it.
Villageman
If MFC are in discussions with Toulouse can it be assumed the Club ie MFC have spoken to Jens to get his view on a potential move.

Spit_It_Out
Yeah I think we all had a wee glimmer of hope he would stay but really we expected Jens to go. However pretty sure the board already had plans for this should this situation crop up i have nothing but faith in the club to get it right again. weeyin
Is the opportunity to get a large pay hike to live in the South of France really that appealing?* *yes

grizzlyg
I think.ot all depends on what Jens wants. Hopefully the board can tempt him to stay with improved contract and transfer funds but realistically we can't compete with a club like toulouse financially. Fact fadinger signed extension makes me think maybe chance Jens could stay but we shall see

Know what you mean, still gives me the fear thinking about him but with this board I’d be happy to take the chance if they decide on Max. If we remember Davie Hay or Terry Butcher taking over, it's a different story. Rogers comes across well, but who really knows if he would keep us moving forward, or if he's even interested. I had thought Malpas would have learned a lot from his time at Dundee Utd, but apparently not. Butcher was a good fit for the situation we found ourselves in, but never really rated him as a manager. Top bloke, though.

He was nowhere near the dressing room in the 10-15 mins leading up to kick off. He was at the dugout gabbing to the mascots parents and the photographers.
