Don't think I'll be taking anything for granted there. In this league this year you can take nowt for granted but if you are neck and neck with another team you'd rather they faced one of the OF than anyone else, even as shite as Rangers are. Nowhere enough contact for a penalty. Nor was ours at other end. You could just as easily say it was a foul on Welsh at their goal because of contact - that wasn’t a foul either. texanwellfan
I think we Came out ok today with VAR probably our worst performance of the season from stats point of view. So not too bad when your worst stats performance gets you a point.

In that case the Hearts player lifted his hand up and diverted the ball but I’d give benefit that he was most likely naturally just protecting his face. Ya Bezzer!
Worth a point. Game of few chances, bit sloppy at times, looked a bit weary, hopefully we have one more home performance in us this season.
mio
Found that unbelievably stressful tonight, we just didn’t get into a rhythm and that second half performance was not like us at all. Watt was doing my head in, kept putting us under unnecessary pressure by giving the ball away in really dangerous positions, he’s been doing this more and more. We Oscar I thought was overrun as well, he’s did ok against a strong midfield but I think his lightness showed in a game like this. We needed Fadinger. I hope we have him and McGinn back midweek as we will miss Welsh. anyway as someone mentioned earlier, a point against the top of the league side who has had a lot of luck this year and to not play that well…. Fair doos. On to Celtic now… let’s see what that brings.

He'll be working on the issue in training, but I'm all in favour of managers backing their players in public. We might not have been at our best, but we found a way to get a point against a Hearts team that's very difficult to play against.

Spiderpig
13 minutes ago, FirParkCornerExile said: Can't agree with the manager that we were outstanding. Any game we dont lose, we are outstanding, especially against the potential champions tonight, we were always trying to get forward and were in their faces, and looked threatening when we did, we defended very well, Ward never had a difficult save to make even when Hearts were pressing hard we looked solid. So all in all i think an outstanding performance is a fair assessment of how the game went

I've been critical of Steve McLean in the past but thought he withstood the pressure to give Hearts their penalty admirably. The VAR team must have thought that it should have been given but credit to him for sticking to his original decision. So I was wrong twice tonight but Mrs Dosser assures me this is par for the course 😱.
Richie
Will the compliance officer get involved with Kyziridis? Clearly exaggerates the foul to try and con the ref. You see him clearly springing off with his left foot.
wellup83
A good point for us. Hearts were pretty dominant in terms of possession for about an hour but carved out very little. Sometimes that's the way it goes, we were in the trenches at times and defended like warriors. Well done to Gordon who I thought was brilliant despite his lack of game time.
