Were without Ward, Said, Just, Maswinhise, Moormann, Vogt, Longelo and Bjorgolfsson and the remainder of the established faces only really played the 1st half.

Pretty much Attack v Defence the whole game.

Pretty much the youth team from about 50/60 mins.

FWIW thought the young lads gave a decent enough account of themselves. Plenty energy but a few errors costly, got up the park a few times but outmuscled in the final third. Thought #34 at centre half looked fairly confident in our style of play.

Sounds like a few misplaced passes contributed to the result. However,  results don’t matter in these games, it’s what you learn.

You would expect we'd have a behind closed doors one next week to help them build sharpness before Genk and HB

Does the reliance on the youngsters in the second half show that we are lacking depth which may get worse if we are to lose Just Watt etc?

 

think it’s good that he gave them a run out to see what he has but worryingly perhaps also shows the lack of depth.

An interesting post from Dinnae-Punt-It on P & B. He/she rightly points out that, despite our paper thin squad,  Longelo, Wilson and Thor didn't get any game time in Jutland, as far as we know.  I was thinking exactly the same thing.
