Kmcalpin
An interesting post from Dinnae-Punt-It on P & B. He/she rightly points out that, despite our paper thin squad, Longelo, Wilson and Thor didn't get any game time in Jutland, as far as we know. I was thinking exactly the same thing. joewarkfanclub
These are training games. If we get turned over by Hanvar and pumped out of Europe then I might start to get concerned. Hopefully a couple more signings in this week.
Big Stall
Do we know why we were missing so many 1st teamers? TJ injured & just will be on his holidays. Aside from that, whats the deal with the rest of them? Surprised ward, longello & said not featuring
texanwellfan
Perhaps he wanted to see what those players can do in game situations. He must already have a good idea on the first team players from video of last season.

However it also suggests we aren't yet in a position to give our strongest starting 11, whoever they might be, 90 minutes in their legs which is concerning as the Euro clock is ticking. It would seem our pre season preparation is a bit behind where it should be.

Hope they have planned for a sneaky wee drone appearing over the stand roof.
Kmcalpin
Just had a look at the Carlisle United website and see they have a number of our ex players on their books: Archie Mair, Bevis Mugabi, and Luke Armstrong.
Kmcalpin
Our development squad had a bounce game against Queen of the South's Under 19s yesterday at Dalziel Park. Game ended in a 1-1 draw. https://www.qosfc.com/news-7029

fizoxy
"Another step in our pre-season journey 💪 A predominantly young Motherwell side faced Carlisle United in a behind-closed-doors friendly match this afternoon at Fir Park. The visitors came away with a 3-2 win in a tightly contested match, with goals coming from Ewan Wilson and Ibrahim Said for the home side."

mio
Alfred’s interview suggests a very youthful team. He suggested the game enabled 2009 and 2010 players to get hair on their chests?? id like to see our more established players get minutes in their legs before playing a really good side on Friday night but hey ho… I’ll trust the process (I hate that phrase… sorry)

Happyhonest
Do we have any information on the injuries referred to?

That was a bit concerning, especially as we have a small squad at the moment. Certainly, we know about TJ, who will be out for several weeks, and McGinn and Hendry, who are out for months. Hopefully, not much more than that.

He was back in training this week.
